Tems is so humble. If “chill but a big deal” was a person.
I love that!
Facts
🎉100 percent ❤
Facts! ❤
I attest 😊❤
This was my neighbor when we were living in Lagos. Till this day, I’m still close friends with her younger cousins. We’re all age mates and I’m blessed to have watched her grow so beautifully!
That Nigerian accent is lovely every time!!
Mate... tel me about it 😊😅
Her soul is deep . I felt it in her music but wow the spirit of this woman is really one of a kind....❤
Yessss!!!
YES...she truly is one of kind!
Tems is low key a sage, lol. She said ‘I stay in the present’, ‘you can’t control it’ ‘so I will just release my gift’. Gems and reminders for those of us who doubt ourselves 🌟🌟
❤❤❤
Tems in prison is killing me…Her approach to it was peak survival.Just shows her spirit, guided by God. ❤
Seeing my Nigerian sister shine like this and just be her humble chill self is so beautiful to watch❤️🙌🏾
Tems nailed it when she said, i don't want to be the teacher, i want to learn!!! Great great humility! No wonder she sang 🎶 "I try to teach you, but i might need some lessons"🎶(Essence )! 👊🏾🇳🇬!
This was my first time seeing an interview with Tems. I love that she knows who she is and that she is wise beyond her years. Beautiful, humble and untainted!!
This interview is one of the best by Angie. I don't think people realize it. She speaks of having vision and being give the wisdom to carry it out (without using those words). She also speaks about her being locked up and how it humbled her but also made her fearless and appreciative. I love how Tems communicates in a way that is so simple, accessible and relatable but she is wise and has depth. So many celebrities that come on the show want to sound deep or woke or enlightened but are still in some kind of darkness or trap. They sell an image and they sound phony too. But there's an authenticity to Tems ❤️🙌🏾 God bless her 🇳🇬 🇿🇦
Amen! Well sai
In a nutshell ❤
She won me over before with her music. Now she won me over again with her pure mind. She is very intelligent and REAL. Not this egocentric unreal artists everywhere now. I hope these artists are listening. Been number 1 is not everything. ❤❤❤❤❤
So Real! My Type Of Inspiring Women to look up too
😊😊9
Tems is such a wise and beautiful soul. Her music got me through some tough times. As a Ugandan artist, I feel very bad for what she went through when she visited Uganda. She might not like our country now but she has fans over here like myself who love and adore her music. Love and blessings.❤
Ur country is a poor country and i dont know why they keep going to your country
She talks as if Nigeria is better. Nigerians lack social discipline and Uganda is built on discipline. The instruction was simple; no performances during covid season. All artists in Uganda weren’t performing, what make you think that you a Nigerian will come and break Ugandan laws!? East africa is not west africa. We dont look for trouble. Uganda has prisons for everyone depending on what crime they think you committed- we have prisons in Congo too! Today Nigerians are rotting nit just in east African and south African prisons but also Asia. NIGERIANS LEARN DISCIPLINE OR STAY IN YOUR COUNTRY. Simple! The whole world is tired of Nigerians!! You had no police clearance to do a public concert, you were only cleared for a house party. Follow the rules, Ugandans are the most peaceful people you’ll encounter, but dont assume they’re stupid. And you insulted the man who helped you, what does it say about your character!? Stupid ritualistic Nigerian artists
Some artists wanted to use her and get known around the world Ans for got she has talent and educated as well.
The promoter set them up coz surely there was no way they wd accept to perform during a lockdown
❤❤❤
Wow, Tems seems a mystic pure soul. Her words and wisdom are really profound. It was captivating, held me spellbound watching till end, quite unlike me.
Straight facts❤💯
That "If Orange was a Place" album should be in a museum...that album is a true definition of Quality over quantity 💯👌
Very underrated EP. I don't know why it doesn't get much accolades like For Broken Ears.
EP thou what a masterpiece 🔥🔥💯🎤🎤🎤😵😵🎶🎶
I love how she mentions the hard work it took her to get to where she is. She said she met people who probably didn’t even remember meeting her. I love that
I love how her personality comes out from interview to interview. Sauce and substance.
I really love how she is just trusting God.. I fall more in love with the person she is. She speaks how I perceive the world. I’m just here doing what God asked of me. I love her passion for music because I can feel her through her music.
Tems is a beautiful young lady. She seems very smart too.
The wisdom...Like Angie said, I can most definitely see and hear Sade's influence on her. She couldn't have picked a better "idol". I think Sade's mystique is a major reason she's garnered the level of longevity that she has. I can see us talking about Tems in the same way years from now. 😊 Great interview!
JUST WOW!!! I’ve never heard her speak I’m in awe😮TEMS has so much fight in her so much depth, it’s how she’s seasoned, articulate yet so gorgeous and the jail story gave me goose bumps also everything I’m typing isn’t enough to explain how blessed I feel to have listened to you today TEM’S. God continues to keep you. Your humble spirit is the climax of it all. 😂
How can you not love this girl and her spirit!
Angie Martinez had me rolling “ drop the child” “what on the floor” hahahaa this was such a cute and candid interview!!!! Africa stand up! Nyc stand up! ❤❤❤
Lol you caught that too
That shzz wasn’t cute, it’s annoying. 🙄
I knew I love Tems sm when she mentioned Sade Adu as her favorite person ❤ I can feel her vibe and influence on her and in her songs
Ugandan artist called Bebe Cool is the one who made Tems arrested. But just one of Tems music is bigger than his entire music career.
😅😊
As a Nigerian we didn't even know who tems was, until Uganda arrested her.
@@toochukwuowoh606 😁😁😁
Whoever told some African artist that hating a Nigerian artist is their pathway to success... Cameroon, South Africa and Ghana is doing the same, Kudos to Kenya, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Zambia these counties are different.
@@toochukwuowoh606Nah, speak for yourself bro, I knew about her way before then.
Never heard her speaking before but she is dope and she has depth. Well done!!!❤
"Some people attack what they do not understand."....Tems ❤
That's why God will bless her because she follows her heart and God put her in this position I don't know if you don't know this is no but Africa is taking the world Storm this is not a coincidence plus nobody worships God like Africa I'm glad that they are influencing the world for the better❤ and we love you Tems
Tems is prepared... She is grounded.. She wont loose focus.. The only shift in focus may be from her fans.. If dey dont like the new gems... In all.. TEMS RELEASE THE JAMS WITH YOUR CHEST... I DEY WITH YOU... EVERYWHERE GOOD... ❤❤❤
What a beautiful, intelligent young lady. Her music and singing phenomenal and her mindset phenomenal also. Greatness within ❤. I appreciate, love and applaud her truths and views. ❤ In gratitude to you Tems for sharing your beauty and talent with the world🌎
Real down-to-earth, fun-loving and pragmatic. Tems will go far because she has the right attitude.
I just want Lift Me Up but in Tems voice only , I just want to hear her sing this song .
No literally
Tems reminds me everyday of who God is. How beautiful His work is. Her mind is beautiful. She's everything fr..❤
Whoever told some African artist that hating a Nigerian artist is their pathway to success... Cameroon, South Africa and Ghana is doing the same, Kudos to Kenya, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Zambia these counties are different.
Tems is for real for being so authentic 😍. Love her deep!
This is one of the best interviews I have seen in a long time. Pure open honest journalism. Tems was very honest and genuine. She was clear, and made it very apparent that I am here to stay an in my own lane.
Congratulations on your success! Sorry to hear how you got arrested in Uganda. Coming from Uganda, I have witnessed some of the things you mentioned. It’s very unfortunate that all our systems have failed us. African countries and Africans need to do better. We need to stop the hate because it’s crippling us and stopping us from progressing.
No worries ...she's risen above that now ...bigger than any act from Uganda 😂
@@abiodunadams9499 I understand but this issue is bigger than her and until we address it, it will continue happening.
Uganda is my country but the system is hell there that anyone can be arrested and disappeared with but thank God you survived.
Tems is very beautiful. I saw her perform last weekend in Houston and she was amazing. Voice, spirit, vibe, and everything was perfect. I def wish her the best in life.
The best interview I have watched in yearssss! Her personality will make her a star forever, I love Tem’s music.. You can tell its real ❤
i love her music so amazing and her artistry so epic she really understands the assignment her music is so freeing/liberating her energy is humble and down to earth she is the very best.
Tems is such a big inspiration, huge respect for her. This is one of those moments where people say 'we made the right person popular'. Me trying to note all the countless noteworthy moments; 'Don't take life too hard, There is only one you, be the best you can be, don't try to rule the world it's God's.
She specks with so much wisdom 🕊️
She’s just too down to earth. It’s unreal. She’s not even begun, … y’all need to brace yourselves! Great interview, shout out to Angie M! OluwaTems ! 👑🍾
Angie does such a great job asking a question and allowing the interviewee to respond fully. I love this show.
But she thinks there are no grocery stores in Nigeria
@@esanabbey6988 like, how ignorant is she.
@@esanabbey6988 lol The dont know that we Nigerians cut differently in Africa lol
I have such a new found love for her! God bless you both for this interview. It gave me so much life. You should interview her as one of your guest on IRL
Thank you, Angie. I’ve binged all episodes and have taken in so much positivity from this podcast. Continue to bless us with your energy and platforms. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Good to see someone airing out of injustice in Africa on international level
I wore out “if orange was a place”!! It brought me out of low space. Her lyrics speak to a deeper part of you and I love it.
everything she spoke on shows up on her as well. thats a different type of connection!! love her mannn 🥰✨

This is my absolute favorite interview ever and it's simply because Tems is Tems. Humble is an understatement and never have I felt so understood when it comes to what success means individually. Looking so forward to seeing growth here. ✨ ❤ Absolutely adore her! 🌹🌹🌹

nedda naawe terikwetonda the two countries are siblings under one mother, africa so byabulijjo siblings always fight 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was so good, Temi will always be kindred 💗
You are a special bread. A once in a life time kinda girl. Well grounded, full of wisdom and calm like a breeze.
She has a spirit that has taken her all over and she seems down to earth. Her voice is relaxed and I'm glad she has not changed it. It's so unique that's is wonderful
❤ absolutely loved listening to this interview..she's got such a soothing voice . Even when just talking. Well.done Temz 🎉❤
When Angie asked if they told her to drop the baby down while in Ugandan prison. And she said no, they told me to give the baby back to the mother. Some people always try to make bad people look really bad, but even in a hard situation she stays true and doesn't try to exaggerate anything and play an empathy card. Hope you keep blowing over and over. All the best.
I love how Tems also claps when the host prompts an applause for her. There's something so endearing about it. This was such a pleasant watch. I think this is the most expressive Tems has been in an interview so far.
I really enjoyed watching this. Tems is so humble! May god continue to bless her! I love how she’s not forgetting where she’s from & have future plans for them. Angie is truly a great interviewer she asks all the right questions without any negativity
I just love Tems❤ so much wisdom in her description of being No.1

That was an amazing interview. Items dropped so many gems.
A very captivating interview...I love her spirit
Love her I knew she had to direct the video because I saw directly into her life and her world and I feel like I know her cause I’ve been exactly where she is in that moment of going to God when wickedness is after you and eating relentless with out a cause! She shall win because she is giving music without expecting anything in return- law of MAAT, Love tems deeply
Temssssss, our queen breaking ceilings for herself! 😍 Such a humble success story 🙌🏾
Great Interview Queens 👑
Wow this is one of the best interviews that I have seen with Tems. I love the way Angie interviewed her and made her feel so comfortable. sss
Amazing interview🎉🎉❤❤ God's Grace Grace Grace Great Grace Thank you Tems
Angie, you did a great job. The interviewer must be perceptive enough to know how to help the interviewee express themselves. Tems, you're a beautiful Soul. Keep obeying the Law of Grace. The world needs you.❤❤❤
Such insight! Good for you my sister❤️
Beautiful soul. This interview is easily one of the great jawns I've ever seen. The jail story has me in shambles
Did she say" there's no Grocerystore" in Nigeria.. 😩😆😆 Americans need more education about Africa.
South African here.... I was bothered by that no grocery store question 🙄... such ignorance
@@lindangculu4027 like in this modern age.. I'm still shocked someone could still have that narrative.
U are absolutely right. 100% reorientation
