Прекрасный город ,я из Болгарии,Долина роз,здесь я учился целых 6 лет в ЛГУ им.Жданова,сейчас СПгУ, здесь встретил свою любовь,,ее звали Лариса Зубова,она работала в кассах Аэрофлота на Невском,но грянула "перестройка" и я потерял ее след....! Вот такая грустная история...! В 2016 году я приехал в Питер из Хельсинки,и увидел как многое изменилось в городе! Студенческое общежитие на Мытненской набережной,,стало филиалом Газпрома ,а город все был таким же прекрасным и романтичным ,как 20 лет тому назад...Я бродил по местам где мы любили гулять с ней,и терял счёт времени...! Друг мой далёкий помни: Город над быстрой водой, В небе плывет кораблик, Шпиль блестит золотой. Летнего сада прелесть, Гордые позы львов, Чугунный узор решёток, Плавный полет мостов. Золотоглавый "Иссакий", Купол взметнул высокий... . Город похожий на сказку, Помни,мой друг далёкий! Это ее стихотворение... . Ребята,извините за мое лирическое отступление! У меня действительно прекрасные воспоминания о моей любви ! Желаю всем встретить свою любовь в прекрасном Санкт-Петербурге!

St. Petersburg is beautiful! My wife gave me a birthday present in St. Petersburg last year. We flew 1400 km to walk around the winter city, walked around the Hermitage (not for long - my wife was tired), ate in restaurants.

I am from London, UK & have visited St Petersburg for hols twice - i love this city ❤. My husband & i travel a lot - i believe St Petersburg is the most beautiful & picturesque city in the world. It's architecture, history, the bridges, it's friendly people, cleanliness, etc........ truly live up to it's name as the Venice of the north!! A visit to Peterhof is a must with it's beautiful gardens & fountains!! Would love to visit St Petersburg again & would certainly recommend everyone to visit this beautiful city!! Our enjoyable & lovely memories of our visits to St Petersburg are unforgettable!! Much love 💕

I went to both Moscow and St Petersburg and trust me St Petersburg is the most beautiful city in Russia 🇷🇺 and the world. I loved every single moment there and I was there during white nights.

They paid white people to star in and film some of those propaganda videos to add an air of “credibility”. They also depend on war reparation money from Japan to build all their new airports, train stations and rail.

I visited st petersburg last year... I would say its one of the most beautiful city with great architecture, green spaces, well developed infrastructure, nicest people and the list goes on... 👌👌👌👌👌
St. Petersburg is beautiful. My first impression of it was, while I was in Moscow people are busy and running around, but when I arrived to St. Petersburg via bullet train from Moscow, everybody was relaxed and calm. What a difference! Also Swan Lake ballet by Tchaikovsky at Mariinsky theatre is a must! As Ethiopian, I felt connected to the city a lot, also because lots of Pushink statues and memorials whom his great grandfather is Abraham Ganibal was an Ethiopian who fought for Russia and married a Russian princess. This happened more than 350 years ago, what a story! Much Love from Ethiopia. ❤️

This is a great video. My Grandmother was born in St. Petersburg, so it's a big part of my roots. I hope to visit someday, but until then, videos like this will help teach me something of what appears to be a beautiful city.

Almost all European kings were close relatives. As for Russia many Russian so called kings have also German origin and being turned to orthodox considered themselves fully russian in spirit and were the great leaders of the country. Catherine the second allowed a lot of German people to settle in Russia and they also didn’t spoil the new fatherland, and many officers and soldiers with German names took part in the WWI on the Russian side against Germany and Austria. After 1989 many USSR citizens with German names returned to newborn united Germany, but during my staying in Munich in 2014 for 3 days at the flat of one of such kind I found they still had a normal attitude to Russia and didn’t forget the language.
I am totally in love with Saint Petersburg and I hope to be able to go there again soon. Before covid I used to go there 4 or 5 times a year, specially in order to listen to the wonderful concerts in Philharmonia conducted by Yuri Temirkanov.

What I really like of SPB is its the people. Russians are very nice and very welcoming people. Though for a foreigner is not easy to get to know a typical family. But if you get to know them, then be ready for very welcoming people.

I've been watching some livestreams recently from St Petersburg on the Real Russia channel. The city has so many people out and about having fun, with crowds listening to bands on the street, and everyone seems so happy. You almost never see people masked up, standing apart, etc. You don't see people tearing down beautiful artwork and statues, burning and looting buildings, and acting like lunatics. Many cities here in America are shut down and people are miserable. When I watch those streams I notice the people in St Petersburg are living more free than most of our cities. What politicians are doing to so many great western cities is ridiculous. Live free or die! Keep doing what you're doing St Petersburg!

St. Petersburg is the historic name of the city founded by Czar Peter the Great even though it has a German name. After the first 1905 part revolution it was given the more Russian name Petrograd the Leningrad after the first Soviet Communist leader Vladimir Lenin. About 20 or 25 years ago I think it was given back its original name of St. Petersburg. People I guess are forgetting about what an absolute horror show what happened in Leningrad by the Nazis to the Russians during the Siege of Leningrad during World War II. Up to two or 2.5 million people died in St. Petersburg due to the fighting,cold, being murdered,starvation, cannibalism and other means when the Nazis blockaded the city for almost 2 and a half years from 1942 to 1944.

Thank you for this intersting video. It's a great presentation of the city, bravo ! I lived in St-Petersburg in the early 90. Being a French Canadian, it was not easy to learn the language, but I did !!! It was a bit different back than (from what I could see from your video). I have visited St. Petersburg in 2018, I loved the city!! beautiful and clean! People does not speak much English, neither Spanish (I'm Argentinian) but they are very open and friendly! We had really good weather but at night a jacket was necessary even in August. I totally recommend visiting!

This is the most beautiful city in the world. More beautiful than Paris , Sydney , Venice or London. I was there in 2008 and can testify. The buildings after building are just work of art and so subtly colourful and majestic. The canals are so clean and pristine and give you the best views of historic buildings as you glide on their surface.
Just to visit one winter palace you will have to spend couple of weeks to see all its rooms and most of masterpieces. I was in St Pit few times and i am fascinated. Some pieces of art even beyong comprehension how did they do that, veins on legs of statues made of one stone stunned me knowing that there was not a single known master in that period.
You exaggerated!!! but it’s a matter of taste ... I spent a few days there in 2005 and the city overall was falling apart and I didn't see it being the most beautiful city in the world, only a small part of the centre seemed beautiful to me, although I guess it will have quite improved since then. BTW, two of the cities you’ve chosen aren’t exactly the most beautiful in the world. It’s easy to be more beautiful than Sydney and even than London.

Were I able to afford to live in Russia as an expat, since my work as an international tourism instructor put me on US disability ten years b4 I could retire, I'd choose St. Petersburg, a studio apartment, just because of its wonderful architecture, and how it oozes culture with its seaside vibe, music, opera (which I have only heard visiting Vienna) -- the things people of all ages just love. Big cities always get bigger, or get growing pains. I live in Phoenix, arguably the least expensive city in the US to live in, having become a world city in its own right, but with no old architecture like St. Petersburg--for that the closest city is Santa Fe, NM, or some old colonial cities in Mexico, or Quebec City in Canada. I ran into 'skin-head' groups in visiting Germany and the Alpine countries, even in Amsterdam, when I visited Europe via Eurail between '87 and '95. I just went on my way, not trying to give them 'the eye of judgement' knowing I've grown up with that in the US all my life, since the early 60's as a toddler onward, but seeing that as a fringe thing, and not representative of the family or values that raised me, since we were a second generation immigrant family from Europe that found its way to Ellis Island right before the outbreak of WW1. My Dad reminded me growing up, that Russia became our ally during a very tragic time in his teen life, that sent him to WWII. He was sick in the Japanese Occupation force, having seen HIroshima, and devoted his life towards using nuclear energy as a possible power source in the impoverished world. He became a health physicist in the process and turned his attention to nuclear imaging to detect cancer during the last ten years of his career. The year he passed to heaven, my own daughter was born six months later, and she (now a Masters Student) hopes to work for the United Nations some day, traveling and teaching like my wife and her family did as well. My wife got to meet the President of Mexico, I got to see Edward Kennedy, who was invited to Moscow once. Tourism is the glue of diplomacy and videos like yours, fair and well done, are ties of peace and signs of hope.
