This channel has cleaned me up , complete wardrobe makeover. I wear a suit to work everyday , so in my off time I devolved into a super comfortable inappropriate bum. Many ideas here, I have found are just as comfortable, yet added a ton of appeal & attention from the ladies. Thanks Ashley!! PS - Also a lot of your combos have allowed me leave my suit at home more & wear a clean business casual look that's accepted in more formal environments. Life saver!
The hardest thing is building a minimal wardrobe. Look how many variations of say a trucker jacket there are. All of them could look fantastic in the right outfit. That's my problem right now, I want everything in every shade and material!
I've been building a lean wardrobe, and my trick is to ask whether I *need* the item to fill an existing hole. I already have a navy Harrington jacket and a gray bomber jacket. In any situation where I might wear a trucker jacket (of any color or material) I could wear one of those two jackets instead. I wouldn't want to wear a navy jacket with a navy shirt, but I can easily pair my navy shirts with the gray jacket (and vice versa).
Karl R- I recently bought a black trucker jacket ($35)& a black Baracuda Harrington jacket($400). I did it on the theory that since the trucker jacket is thinner cotton that it would be more breathable in hot weather than the Harrington because the Baracuda has a nylon shell over a cotton insole. Of course that might just be an excuse I'm using to justify my purchase in my head

I know everyone loves blue/navy but I've seen maroon/red works alot better for us with brown and darker skin tones, its like our navy and matches well with pinks and other florals. Exploring this pages has helped me tremendously (especially getting rid of all the ripped skinnies) in growing up my look and what colors work best.

"leaning on the casual side" => This gives me ideas about the 2 videos I'd love to see (and maybe they were already made way back when) 1) The essential casual wardrobe... I'd guess the black and white T-shirts, main shades of jeans, the blue or grey vest, etc. 2) Evolving beyond the essentials... I'd guess colorful chinos, more audacious sneakers, accessories, etc.
Refresh for #1 coming in a few months. 2. Have done videos about this but they got lost in the ether. Will likely do videos/articles about this when we launch the app and additional modules to address this exact thing.

Is Merino Wool a nice material suitable for year round wear? I've read if you want to wear a sweater for not just Winter then Merino is a fine choice. Excellent options!
I wear merino all year long. Have since 2015. I live in the American south. Merino is God’s fabric. Anti-microbial, moisture wicking, flame retardant, only material that retains heat while soaking wet, it’s perfect.
@@oliverallen5324 Thanks for your insight truly appreciate it. I'm definitely looking into getting another Merino Wool V neck and your statement really helped that. It gets extremely hot out here which is another reason why I asked. I also have wool trousers that are performance tech and a lightweight charcoal pair that would really look nice with it. I was looking to get some linen cotton sweaters from J Crew but sadly they have not restocked so I went back to Express and so far enjoy all the options on there.

After a ton of searching, Armani Exchange slim fit pima cotton crew tees are my choice. Lots of colors and a great fit.
Light wash jeans, I don't think I could wear those at my age of 53. I am a athletic slim type of guy and look 40-45. So am I right in saying light wash jeans are not for me?

Iron-on tape. 5'4" here with about 26" inside leg. Steam turns it sticky and it holds fairly well. Might need a double layer for denim. Just use some kitchen paper towel between material and iron. You WILL regret it if even a tiny bit gets on the iron.

Every time I watch this channel, my perception of Ashley is someone that is super meticulous & possibly OCD about every little detail in her life. It almost stresses me out!! Hence I only occasionally watch your stuff. Everything always needs to be so perfect, feel like there's no room for mess and imperfection. Almost robotic; making it less relatable to someone like me. Just my 2 cents Thanks for all the knowledge though :) (terrible joke here - but I bet you wipe like 20 times to ensure maximum cleanliness)

My problem with them is finding accessories to match them. If I get white sneakers then I got to get a white watch/ wrist band, white suitcase/ backpack, ext. F that

I personally don't love all white sneakers either. I feel like I have to be extra careful to keep them clean. I have some low top converses in all white and Stan smith, but I couldn't see splurging on white sneakers
@@asims1988 it’s not so much the effort of cleaning: I polish my work shoes regularly. And white converse are possibly the exception to how I feel about this. But the white sneakers American KZheadrs love, make you look like you’re a cool kid in an iPod commercial dancing in a subway station.
Most important tip: Dress how the hell you bloody want. Your body, your choice. Stop living your life for the validation of women, there's just more to life than that. True happiness comes from within, not from a woman's perception of you...that said, just try and look presentable ok.
That's the point of videos like this, most guys don't understand what presentable is. Yes dress for yourself but guys need a lot of help in looking presentable
Don’t just listen to her opinion of course, but to ignore all that women find attractive, imagine a woman that takes this advice with respect to men, good chance you’d find her unattractive. So this is all about needlessly making one’s self unattractive, and how to avoid that. The ‘dress how the hell you want’ approach to writing - of course write in your own style, but if you apply that attitude to spelling - needlessly bad.

These are all Caucasian and this style appeals to one demographic. Alot of black men dont dress this way during the spring and i'm talking about very clean cut style. Your channel in my opinion is skewed to one demographic and i can guarantee you not all women find these styles sexy. A good example to take to look at are Serge Ibaka, Chris Paul etc. Those styles appeal alot to black women, white, asian etc. What i'm seeing here is very very bland, banana republic and abercombie and fitch style. My 2 cents, expand your pool
