  • Should that have been your first time out of the gate autobody repair, I see no real mistakes, period! What I do see is a very good commitment to getting the job done in an excellent manner possible! Great job Ali!! That staple and stich method has always been my approach for the repair of plastics ever since about the year 2000. The high end repair shops will not attempt that kind of repair but instead buy a brand new panel but I can already see why such an attempt to repair that panel because of the overwhelming cost of a new panel, it's a ridiculous cost and these manufacturers should be driven into bankruptcy for stinging the body shops and the customer. When I purchase a used vehicle, the very first thing that I look at is: 1.) How many of that particular vehicles were sold? 2.) How many of them could possibly be in a salvage/ junk yard? 3.) I won't buy a vehicle that is any newer than 7 years old. 4.) And I won't buy a vehicle that is any older than 14 years old. I only have purchased one vehicle that was new in my life, and with that said, I got stung! Since then, I have purchased only used cars and that way, I have control over costs of owning and maintaining cars over a lifetime!! Believe me when I say this because I have NEVER had a high paying job in the 67 years of my life and chances are even if I should become a lottery winner, I will still only buy a used car because these car companies are a royal rip-off, con artists! This is also the reason why I do all the repairs myself but if I should get lazy and have someone else help make the repairs, I will most likely to take the car to someone within my immediate community and/or a friend with whom I can personally trust!!
