  • Great book for a beginner . kzhead.infoUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ this book really starts from the beginning, as in it explains what basic tools are and how to use them. But when it gets to the art of creating joints and how and when to use them this book really starts to teach you something. At least that was my experience.

Я сам построил дом из контейнера , посчитал все затраты и пришёл такому мнению , лучше бы я дом построил из красного кирпича . Было бы гораздо экологичнее , теплее и бюджетнее , а так ушло очень много денег , в конце очень пожалел .

I got you, but I was kinda of running a tally in my head while watching him build and all the materials there, gosh it has to be over 30k if not 40k , then he was welding a lot, even the outside steps , so I'd guess the labor is 15k . That little shack would cost about around 50k and there no shower lol. Anyway, yea I hear you though. I'm 40, Upstate New York. I'd love to build a cabin, either rustic or smart/modern. There's a couple on KZhead who builds cabins together. I need a woman like that lol.

Считается, что это удобно. Ну, на мой взгляд, после этого в ванной комнате очень скользко, надо сразу же убирать после себя. • YOU forgot to build an attic, which is the most important job to do. It would trap hot air in the summer time, even if only built a foot, just to trap and hold hot air. That is the main reason all mobile homes are deathly hot. I know since I live in one. Also you should have built a wood structure around the compound such as wood walls to prevent the heat and definitely cold out. What he built is nice, but in reality, it is not really great to live in. Also raising the foundation is great to level it, so then the whole underneath should be packed with insulation.

  • great build, real nice, however i question the terminology of it being a "container home", as it was not a metal container, used and re-purposed, to be a home, it was built from scratch. Excellent job in that department, can be utilised as a great start-up home.

    • The bathroom is a wet room. The drain is on the floor and the walls are waterproof. So basically, the whole room is the shower with a sink and toilet sitting in it. I believe this is popular in China and Japan. You see this in some RV's as well.

  • its interesting to note the foundation. they have a lotta quakes there but this design could handle some serious shaking without encountering damage. two people could easily live in this because nobody can afford to have kids anymore. I wonder what the cost would be? Here in FL we wouldn't need the floor heating can simply use 1200 watt space heaters during the brief cold snaps here as our main thermal load is that big yellow ball out there. so we'd probably wanna go with 3" insulation. they're using 2" here. I'd wanna keep the width at 8 feet outside to lessen cost and go longer if you need more squares. VERY NICE WORK!
