The packaging technically is used for informing preserving and storing or else it would be impossible to know where your package is going and also a nightmare to store in a warehouse without boxes packagings main purpose is not to protect the thing inside that’s the reason there’s always a package inside a package because that’s what’s protecting your product like how shipments of bacon come into the store in boxes but it’s not the shipping box protecting the product its the wrapping on the bacon same thing for chips and other small to medium goods

The person receiving it is not the one who packaged it. Some packages are labeled fragile, and as someone who worked at UPS, workers still do this regardless.
