  • As an Asian American, who’s father served active duty for 22 years and did tours in 3 separate wars, ranging from Vietnam, Panama, and Somalia I totally feel what this man is saying. I remember my father would face racism after he retired from the military and people questioned our legitimacy in being in this country. Don’t know how many times I’ve been told to go back to my country, yet I was born here, I’m already home.

    • Another AA here and while my dad wasn't in the army, I feel the same. My parents came here because they truly believed in the American Dream. Sure maybe the roads paved with gold wasn't the most realistic thing to believe, but they thought if they could work hard they could make a better life for themselves and for the most part they have and I'm thankful for them. I'm born in the US, I went to American schools, consumer American culture, speak American English better than my parent's native language, wear American brands, follow American politics, and work for an American company. Yet it doesn't matter to some people because I don't look white. America is my home and I want it to stay that way, I don't want to go and live anywhere else in the world.

    • Rustica Urbano the left brainwashed you very effectively. Even your response to what I say will inevitably be a repetition of democrat propaganda slogans., but I’ll say my piece anyway. America isn’t some “institutionally racist” place where other races are constantly discriminated against by all Americans. America is simply a nation. People, as they have the right to, fear what’s different: it’s natural and has existed as an instinct since prehistoric times. Americans are generally white: fact. Only 12% of Americans are black even in the modern day. Of course, men like this man, not even US Nationals and yet still patriots and heroes, exist and have my full respect. But he chose to show his scars, he didn’t have to. People would have believed him, and been proud of and respectful to him even had he not shown those scars. I often wonder if people like you even understand your own arguments before you type them in. Slavery and oppression are not America’s invention. Every nation in the world has once taken slaves and oppressed other races, African nations, Asia has a filthy history of slavery and racism, and the British, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Aztec, Incan, Saudi Arabian and Ottoman Empires. How did you even formulate an argument like yours when information against it is so amply available? Short answer: you didn’t. What you say is just leftist slogans and propaganda perpetuated by the innocent mouths of the impressionable, like you.

When my Grandpa died, he was the pillar of the family, he sended almost all the money, to help my Grandma and his siblings, he retired and become a Lumberjack in California, still sended almost all the money back. One day, he was beated up by racist thrash and left to die near Tijuana, lived off (My father alwas described him as the most Hardened and strong of his brothers) but was in bad shape, lived in the streets and soon got sick, he was hospitalized in Tijuana, this is how the family got word, he didn´t try to get help during this time, because he didn´t wanted to worry his family. It was a segregated military at that time, but he served honorably through WW1 and WW2. My other Grandfather was native Hawaiian, and served in Hawaii's Territorial Guard during WW2. I had a Cousin that served in the 442nd, the highest decorated unit in US history, for liberating Europe. I myself being of Asian, Danish and Hawaiian Race joined the Army at 17 and went strait to the 82nd Airborne and went to war a year later, as a fire team leader in combat. Everything I go to Hawaii, I go to Punch Bowl and Kaneohe Veteran's Cemeteries, to lay flowers and pay respect to my veteran grandparents. 😅be walked to the walls at Punch Bowk, that have the Veteran's names that are buried there and so many Asian, Polynesian and other races other than just Whites and Blacks. This country doesn't deserve the sacrifices my ancestors made, to give all the freedom, wealth and opportunities, handed to them. Society wants everything served up to them, while using victimhood, as a weapon to gain advantage over their competition. No loyalty, no dignity, no morals, nor ethics.

The only racism that can be proven that's happening in America right now is from democrats and leftists: critical race theory, 1619 project, cancel culture, push for equality of outcome, preventing asians to get into top universities because their parents are making too good life choices which would mean too many asians succeeding, constant racism against whites - they have to accept being called all sorts of things in the media, etc.
