Yes, I love hearing songs dissected. I listen to Knox dissect a lot of rapper’s lyrics and I find it highly entertaining so I love that the Sesh girls are making a video dedicated to dissecting the songs and the beef between them.

Great episode! some info: the beef between the weeknd and drake is because the weeknd wouldn’t sign to OVO and drake feels (once again) the he started the weeknds career but the weeknd gets no praise for writing drakes best selling album (take care). Also the weeknd a few years ago in his song Lost in the Fire said “I just want a baby with the right one, cause I could never be the one to hide one” Violence has ensued: the weeknd manager, Cash, his bodyguard was shot and then a few days after, gunshots were fired upon drakes house in Toronto

I think one thing that should be remembered from this beef is the idea of culture is not easily learned. This isn't really about race, it's more about whether you grew up in the African American culture. Drake who grew up is a relatively wealthy jewish community in Toronto did not learn or grow up in the culture. So when he came to America and violated these rules that are learned when you grow up in the culture, for some they took it as an outsider coming in. I think this lack of authenticity and 'fakeness' is really what started the beef.

1:06:22 meet the grahams is honestly so insane and brutal like I was genuinely shocked when listening to that song, literal chills went down my spine. Not gonna lie I started to tear up with the whole daughter part of the song like it legit got to me) coming from somebody who’s father also wasn’t really apart of my childhood growing up it definitely felt like I was being talked to for a second there. It could just be accusations and all allegedly but like you said Kendall I don’t feel like Kendrick is the type to lie about anything especially as serious as what he’s claiming to know and address in his songs ( specifically with how Hollywood is and just in general how shady and sick it is in that industry R-Kelly and Diddy for example) I could honestly believe what he’s saying. Same applies with how Megan made the Megan’s law lyric in “Hiss” that easily could’ve applied to Hollywood in general but it clearly got to Nicki because deep down she knows who she married and had a child with at the end of the day (y’know how the saying goes.. a hit dog will holler)

Also Kdot refers to the industry and how they cover up shit and something like that there is deeper things going on that they don’t want people to know. I believe home %100 and he is just calling it like he sees it. Just like how Drake was grooming Milly when she was just a kid. So much more we don’t even know. Drake and jcole was on tour together that fact that j cole was on tour was the whole reason me and my sister bought tickets and i was Always a drake fan early on. But the fact the j cole was actually on tour was something special. Honestly i don't care for drake as much now but i was still excited. That’s so scary. I’m in southern north carolina and my town was right in a crazy storms path. We had a tornado warning for a while, but thankfully none touched down, just rain hail and 70 mph winds
