Bro didn’t mention showdown plus 💀 To those that don’t know what showdown plus is: It was an attempt at ending teaming by supercell where the more enemy you killed, the more trophies you gained, this didn’t stop teaming but I think carnage should mention it since this shows that supercell tried to stop teaming.

Each time you killed someone you would get a trophy (or two trophies later on) but for dying you lost two more trophies so you had to get at least one kill to not tilt. Getting 10th place really sucked.

I think you forgot to mention that there are a lot of trust issues with teaming, for example they’ll make you think there teaming with you then kill you instantly. Especially true for close quarters brawlers. I have experienced this several times and it’s terrifying haha.

The editing is fire btw. Great effort! I feel like the peek of teaming, when it was basically just a meme about showdown was in 2021. An average sd lobby would contain 6+ primos and yeah. It was kinda hilarious. Even after the primo nerfs, teaming was still hugee, and every lobby would just hang out till the storm arived

Oh boy, the 8-bit apocalypse was... Interesting. The story of 8-bit is a long one. He started really strong so the very slow movement speed made a lot of sense. I remember he got a dmg nerf as a first nerf. He was good but counterable. Then his second Star Power released and changed Showdown completly. I upgraded him to power 9 somewhere prior to summer 2020 and pushing him to rank 25 was my goal. It was a blast. Pam was a very popular pick in there and you'd often see 5v5 Pams and 8-bits all while the meteors rained like crazy. A lot of the times Pam teams were winning due to the meteors putting 8-bit in a huge disadvantage. He was kinda like Edgar or Shelly. Completly trash or at least underwhelming everywhere except for Showdown due to extra life. I miss modifiers in Showdown.

I myself play regulary in 500 throphies in showdown and I dont see much teaming at all, when around every 10th game I see teaming happening. I used to see teaming a lot more two years ago. I agree with Supercell that teamers should not be banneed, when you can team yourself in showdown and then crush other teams with your teams. In the highest showdown throphies all of the players seem to team, unitil somebody betrays and the whole lobby teaming ends in there.
@@jout738 maybe they make mode solo(no teaming you can get banned) team(you can team no ban) so in solo if someone teams you report them and send times where they team and maybe you click on evidence that they are teaming so ai can ban them

I can tell about huge Russian Frank meta in 2019. In late 2018, 15 y. o. youtuber from Russia decided to make non-ingame clan, which name i can't tell due it's banned by Supercell. You could find it's members by tag in [square brackets] in the nickname. It's rules were: team with other clan members, do not swear, do not backstab in any situation, and when team was only standing in showdown, they needed to lose their super into the gas and go into it. It's main brawler were Frank, so it's second name was "Frank Brotherhood". Of course they were regularly broken, and clan's leader, youtuber meant upper didn't do anything useful. At July 2019 every TENTH player were in this clan, so all Rusiian youtubers, foreign players and even Supercell known about it. Because it's name were close to popular swear word, in July 2019 it was banned. Clan's leader made other name for it, and one more time half year later when his name waas changed into "Darryl", but both weren't succsess. In early 2020 clan was almost fully destroyed. I've always never understood why supercell doesnt implement the easiest way to stop teaming. If 2 brawlers are within a certain radius with no wall between them and neither is attacking for a certain period of time, they both start to lose health. Sure it wouldn't stop long range teaming, but it would be a massive step. Edit: I know this wont solve everything, but the amount of teaming it would stop would be massive

I'm a showdown-only player I never teamed Like everyone, I think, I tried it when i played dynamike in the early days of the game. I was betrayed too many times, didnt like it, and happily for me, stopped really fast. Since then I've been playing a lot of games against 9 teamers all together, winning sometimes, generally losing. But I didnt really care, I just did my best to play and destroy as many teamers as possible to disgust them from teaming. But in the end, I stopped having fun. I stopped the game about two years ago because it was umplayable and I didnt like playing wit other people so other gamemodes weren't really an option for me. I guess I'll return whenever supercell does something about it, like showdown+ or another leech life only mode like there used to be in halloween...
Maybe a good way to stop teaming is to disconetc them(just like it happens when you do not move in 3v3) when they where too close and not attacking.Snipers could be a problem,but tanks are a bigger issue.
I always thought of a simple way to stop teaming but supercell wont ever add it, its just making brawlers taking damage each seconds (like burning brawlball) if they are closed to each other without attacking themselves

The whole teaming situation is basically like usa vs north korea Usa cannot use nuke on north korea because they will use their as well And in brawl stars logic Supercell cannot ban teamers because the community would be mad and brawl stars could fall off
The best way for everyone to prevent teaming up with others in a solo showdown is to increase the number of trophies earned for lower ranks in rounds. the point is, for example, that if someone ranks 10-6, he loses trophies. If these trophy losses were limited to 10-8 rank, even on higher trophies in brawler, teaming would definitely decrease. the truth is that everyone needs trophies, and at higher ranks it is almost impossible to win without teaming and still get some trophies.

Its superly simple: a new gamemode: With every kill you get, the more total HP you get (4200 --- 5000 with 2 kills), they can also put a 5-10% dmg buff to every brawler on the gamemode.
It wouldn't stop teaming, because teamers would share kills and become even stronger.
I didn't think it that way, you got a point. The next thing I *can* atleast think of is if Brawl Stars put up a kind of "anticheat" or a "detector"... Its thing would be to detect if someone is teaming, as a result it would make him (and his other teamer friend) lose up to 10% dmg and 12-14% hp.

@@fm_0523 banning teamers would only decrease player base, showdown is by far brawl stars most popular game mode meaning that a lot of player play that mode. We need to remember that Supercell is a company, their top priority is making money, and less player would do the complete opposite.
My ideas to ban teaming are: If you rotate on yourself for more than 2.5 times with a player in your feild of view you get some sort of punishing effect, whether it being stunning or permanently reduced stars for the rest of the game. If you spin as described but there is a player in the bushes you won't get the punishing effect. Now if you spin like said but you were fighting than you will be alright. The punishing effect will apply at both of the teamers and at the end of the game you will get a warning. With a couple of warnings you are out. Fake teamers will receive the punishing effect but if they attack the other teamer, trying to kill him, any stats change will be reverted and they won't receive any warning. Also, if you spray or emote near a visible player and then run towards him without attacking, you will get the punishing effect and warning. This obviously applies if you had the chance to engage, so if there is a wall blocking you, you won't get any punishment. Obviously all of this won't completely cancel teaming but it will reduce it drastically, because it prevents most ways of teaming.
Friendship and teamwork. Thats what teaming is truly about. Its the best thing brawl stars has. And i love it. Well, friendship and teamwork unless u team up with a bull, edgar or supered shelly😅xd

Easy way to stop teaming: a new variant of Showdown called Showdown Blitz (alongside Solo and Duo). Literally Solo Showdown with the same map, however, it is for players who do not want to team. If you're a Showdown player and your strategy is to team, then you play Solo. The rest of us play Blitz. And they'll be the same map anyway so there is no reason for teamers to choose to play Blitz.
This is a great idea.
Teamers would still play Showdown blitz. There is nothing stopping them.

While it is true that graveyard shift mostly got rid of teaming, I remember a period where Sprout teaming was very popular there, since he could heal himself fully with his gadget and had a shield that reduces health decay

As an player of 2019 i can confirm teaming has always been a part of showdown but the main problem for me is that i am an anti teamer idk but in my opinion teaming make the game less enjoyable not only this sometimes i feel like i have to quit this game, the main reason is that in showdown i have to face many elprimos and buzz and in 3v3 i always get bad randoms. (Go watch cryingman then you will never do teaming again)

THE BEST counter really (but only in a 1v1 scenarios, he's too unreliable in 3v3 to be a worthy pick against her usually) Edgar passively charges his super. With Let's Fly he gets one at the start of a match before Meg charges her super so gets an easy kill. On the other hand, Hardcore allows him to tank her super but Let's Fly is better overall for dealing with teamer Megs. He has an insane DPS while Meg's is kinda underwhelming and dodgable for Edgar since he can run in circles around her and effectively dodge most of her shots. His life steal let's him outheal all the dmg she dealt. Even the knockback star power that Meg has doesn't save her. Edgar might catch up to her anyway but if he doesn't he can just go away and recharge his super while Meg will stay vulnerable in her weak form.

Solo Showdown is by far the most popular game mode so they can’t risk to alter it in any way. If they start banning people for teaming then they will even up banning half the community and lose a lot of money.

They can't ban players for teaming, because if they do, many players will quit the game. I think Supercell should make graveyard shift showdown always active and remove hot dog. Hot dog didn't do anything. It might've even made teaming more popular because you can backstab team, pick up the hot dog and heal.

I played a lot of solo sd in 2021 and I remember entire lobbys of gene, crow, primo, buzz, stu, bea and surge. And all of them relied on teaming and backstabbing everyone at the end which was so stupid.

I feel like the new high trophy teaming could be adressed as 'simping'. People only team with Max, Colt, Janet, Piper and sometimes Squeak or golden/expensive skins but never team with annyoing and dangerous brawlers like Primo, Edgar, RT, etc. Certain "cute" brawlers like Spike, Colette or Tick are sometimes accepted into the club. I think this is a really really bad era of teaming

This teaming problem is worst when your trophy in about 750 or above, I've been in the situation when smoke already close to the middle of the map and because I'm not teaming I lost on rank 7-10.... I hate it...
What i think they should do to stop teaming is make a system where if u dont attack a player within ur range for more than 4 seconds then u get kicked from the match
There are some problems from this idea If attacking includes missed attacks, then teamers would 'intentionally miss' their attacks to their team. If attacking doesn't include missed attacks, then bad aimers would be innocently kicked from SD Also, otis's super and belle's super will be deadly since you can't attack for 4 seconds or more

The reasoning for not banning teasers is literally because they can't. They can't afford a massive team that will regulate who gets banned. There are litteraly millions of accounts and they can't get every single replay because their servers aren't strong enough.And if they make it so players can report teamers themselves due to false banning and hate reporting to players that don't deserve it. Brawl Stars devs don't support teaming but they can't do anything about them
Solution for teaming: Just let people play how they want, it's fine if you don't like teaming but complaining about it and clowning on people who do is borderline gatekeeping, this is just a game and there is no right or wrong way to play it
