Quick question, this bull dog I know scratches a lot like he has flea's which may not be the case, what would you recommend.
Dry skin and allergies seems to be the most common common problems that we've seen with with that. it's really hard to know without more information

What would you recommend for hot spots or raw skin treatment for their face? I have a 2 year old bulldog that has developed a rash of some sort at the bottom of his eye wrinkle which appears to be a hot spot. It keeps coming back. Any suggestions?
Aw poor guy! Have you been to the vet? With a sore near his eye, I would be very careful of what you use so that you don't hurt his eye of course, so a call to your vet would be important. I personally would start with something internal, like apple cider vinegar in his water daily and well as coconut oil if you're not already doing those things. If you could get the coconut oil on the sore and not in his eye, that may help as well until you get to the vet. Most skin issues are cause by either an allergy or food sensitivity so maybe start there as well to see if something in his food or where he spends most of his time that might cause it, especially if it keeps coming back. I've also used Terramycin Ophthalmic Ointment, which is an antibiotic that is safe for an eye, so if it's infected with a bacteria that may help as well. Make sure to check with your vet though, he knows your dog better than me and I'm not a vet =) Best wishes and healing vibes for your furbaby!
@@ArrowheadBulldogsandBengals we've dealt with Malassezia for a brief period (my bully is a rescue from a case of neglect, and he used to have a few skin issues his first months at home) and with a seasonal rush the last two springs. Aside all the above, and along the pharmacological treatment for the yeast and the general immune system improvement, our vet also recommended a topic treatment with a chlorhexidine - based (but very diluted) delicate shampoo twice a month in the first case, and a zinc - based one in the second Don't know if this can help 😊
I new to this but sometimes it’s bc their face isn’t dry… you have to fry the wrinkles after each meal & water or it’ll create a sore spot

A deshedding tool is very helpful! Used regularly, it can be a big help and they arent that expensive eirher. High quality food and vit E and vit C of course can help too. But depending on his age he may be blowing his puppy coat or winter coat as well so it may get better with age too.

Hello, I personally don't bathe my bulldogs usually more than once A month. There skin can get really flaky and sensitive so once a month usually works well for my bulldogs. Thanks for the question

Their fur seems to get brown when it stays wet. Perhaps just drying it after she pees will help :)

I would only bathe your pup every couple of months or so unless they are very dirty. A quick wipe down with baby wipes works great for a little dirt 😁

We just got a bulldog about 3 months ago, and I was just watching video's to make sure I am cleaning her well... also not sure if it was a fly or a orb passing through fast at about 7:53 754, 655 Righr when you start to talk again.. from the bottom right corner and goes up ur sweater and then stops and then takes off again.. not sure if you believe in those things..

Hi my name is Chris, I have a Chow/ Chihuahua,and I give her a bath and she starts stinking again two days after a bath and her skin is so sensitive. I feed her grain free food.The 30.00 dollar shampoo don't work real well. please help
(I'm not a vet, so they are always the best place to go for information. My knowledge is from experience and may not work for everyone) Wow! I would love to see a picture of your chow/chihuahua! When it comes to a smell, have you considered a food allergy or a yeast infection? Even if it's a high quality food there could be protein that she is allergic too. Maybe look at the top 3 ingredients in her food and for a week or so you could try just giving her those 3 things with a bath and see if you notice a change? If it's yeast which is VERY common, I would suggest an extra probiotic to help balance her gut. Something like this one - amzn.to/2RsOVud It has probiotics and prebiotics. Adding a little bit of organic apple cider vinegar to her water will help yeast as well. If it is yeast, and the things you can do at home don't work, a shot of cortisone from your vet would be might be an option as well.

Yes. Its gental, removed excess oil and also strips fleas of their oil protective coating and allows them to drown which in turn allows me to use less chemicals. There are a lot of good dog shampoos out there but can be just as useful. =)
