I remember I was 13 years old watching euro 2004, back then, I was (still am) a huge classic football buff and I was fascinated with this brazilian player, Garrincha, a pure right winger in the golden era of football, that used to have a repetitive but devastating dribble, always reaching the touchline and crossing, the move looks simple, but not even the best ones of the time could stop him. During the Portugal tournament , I started to notice this kid, shirt number 17 with blonde highlights wreaking havoc in the right side of the field, there was something about him, he possessed fancy step overs, had blistering pace and always seem willing to attack, seemingly unafraid to dare. I noticed his signature dribble, a feint, beating opponents with pace and finally crossing or attempting to shoot, it was like if Garrincha spirit was alive again in this kid. Never passed back unless it was absolutely mandatory. Since that tournament I knew I had seen someone special, someone that was going to get into the annals of the sport. 16 years later, that scrawny kid with the blonde highlights and huge piercings would become in my opinion, in the second most complete footballer the world has ever seen, only behind O rei Pelé. People now recognize him as the super fit, record smashing, goal scoring machine that is the best keeper´s nightmare. But for me in the early 2000´s, who witnessed the madness this guy used to bring into the premier league, has become stampled in my head. For me, the last pure right winger, until his transformation. Thanks Legasus for bringing back the memories of the once greatest dribbler in the world. Great video.

Now this brings back some memories, back then I was a young dude in his teens and every time Man UTD played me and my friends would always be in a bar watching cause of Ronaldo, he was just something else that we have never seen before in football, we didn't miss a single Man Utd game cause of this legend.

During this era, only two players were skillful, Ronaldinho and Cristiano, the Brazilian Ronaldo was around 30+ and was declining, and Robinho was usually injured and wasn’t as consistent like both ronnies, anybody that watched football back in the day knows that both Ronalinho and Cr7 were two best skillful players, but personally I’d rank R10 ahead because from 2005-06 he was in his prime and CR7 wasn’t YET!
Once there was a time when i was searching a player who is the most skillful. Then I first heard the name of Ronaldinho from my father but at that time he also said that CR7 is also best in skill. He has also said that CR7 has done some uncommon skills and dribblings and anybody couldn’t do that. From then my favourite players are CR7 and Ronaldinho. Ronaldinho and Ronaldo are really best in skill and dribbling.

These days we don’t get to see this kind of football. Just pass and shoot but then Ronaldo was the only player to get pass defenders easily with his pace, speed and technique, he is a masterclass and still he does now.
