You know what would be cool, if midas and chaos agent are actualy allies and they have created this problem as a way to get the agents away from the agency so no one could figure out his plans as they would be protecting their bases. Midas coule have taken chaos agents mask to make the agents believe that he was dead but he would be workinh from the shadows. (this is just a possibillity so dont bully me if you dont think its true)
So he is still out there somewhere
Here's an interesting theory: considering people like peely and lynx are in GHOST's high table, maybe midas is turning them to gold for different reasons. Considering the doomsday device and silos around the agency, It is a possibility that GHOST is preparing a contingency plan in the event of a SHADOW victory: nuking the island. So, midas is turning some of his most trusted agents to gold so they can wait out the apocalypse without being harmed or age, while midas (who can turn to gold and remain concius unlike the other agents as proven by his GHOST/SHADOW edit styles), prepares the resources needed to rebuild the island after the war. So maybe midas isn't killing people by turning them to gold, instead he's trying to save people from the apocalypse needed to defeat SHADOW.
And that device is being prepared to save the agency.

Theory : Oro is Midas from the future who survived the doomsday explosion and killed everyone and now has trime travelled back to stop his young self. That would explain why they have a scar on the same spot.

The event just happened a few hours ago. Here's what went down in a nutshell. 1. The hatches opened to reveal lightning rods. 2. The Doomsday Device emerged from the Agency and exploded. RIP Agency 3. The Storm was changed to water (Tsunami).

Two things sparked in my mind: 1- Meowscles HAS found out that midas has taken lynx. This will explain why is he in the cardboard factory, switched sides and became a shadow and crying sometimes. 2- midas as adamaru mentioned has a device that can create a black hole. As we know in CH1 the seven is the responsible for the "the end" event. They first created E.G.O (Ghost) to set up the plans and then they hired midas and maybe the woman which we have her picture to creat the device. This will explain why journey from season 1 battle pass was in the agency. As time went on other agents and characters including choas agent, lynx and dark knight found out about midases plans and midas did something to them and collected thier masks. The female in midases room is someone midas loved so much. Then she found out about midases plans and left him and turned into a shadow agent. Or she knows about this and turned to shadow to collect intel for midas.

So i for now i say yes simply because at the moment shadow is domniating ghost. But i saw Ali-As' new vid about a concept for the agency which i think is going to replace the current agenct because if you look at the concept (if it's going to be implimented) the new agency is on a mountain.

Theory: Meowscles does know about what happened to lynx. This is probably why Meowscles Joined shadow. (you can see this at the box factory). However, The Yacht, which is owned by midas, is still shadow. Meowscles is also crying all of the time. This could mean that lynx is in trouble or dead, or he could be crying due to being kicked off of the yacht. Without proper reasoning, we don't know the truth.

Didn’t know if anyone knew this but when you go into the deep water in party Royale with a quadcrasher you have the swimming animations briefly until you go back to the surface
Here's a theory on the history of the island S0 The universe is created by the zero point including 7 or more universes/dimensions (Nothing until season 4) S4 The meteor crashes down along with the visitor onto Athena and the visitor is realesed by the government and creates a rocket at the "villain lair" using the hop rocks but something goes wrong or maybe he intended to but he creates the rift. in the process damaging the zero point creating the loop. S5 Something is going on with the big rift and lighting fires down creating the cube maybe they tried to overload the loop with that much storm energy this dosent work and they lose control of the cube and it is now just a block of darkness. S6 In an attempt to destroy the cube and its darkness one of the seven manages to blow it up but we are sent to another place maybe another dimension before being returned by the butterfly. S7 The iceberg crashes into the island with some unwanted guests. The prisoner and who is known as the devourer. S8 The prisoner breaks free and creates a volcano to try take over Athena. S9 The prisoner is defeated by probably the ice king and the government takes control over the volcano using it for research. They find out a monster is on the map with them the devourer which escaped after the iceberg got hit by the volcano's lava so they construct a robot to fight it using the power of the zero point in the vault to destroy the devourer. Also maybe singularity is one of the 7? S10 The zero point is even more broken than before mixing the island from past, present and future. The seven get together and use the meteorite to contain the zero point but one of the seven die leading the meteorite in. Chapter 2 s1 Ego is sent in by the 6 to where the rocket crashed (Apollo) they find a bunker and try to get in but are met by alter (A team already on Apollo) They start fighting over control of the island they realise soon that in battle they get corrupted. Alter tried healing scratch after his battle with 8 ball but he died to the corruption. Chapter 2 s2 Ego and alter are fighting less but taking control of more areas of the map and are now called Ghost and Shadow. I think there is a third team that is neither Ghost or Shadow but they disguise as team Ghost or Shadow to gather Intel and eventually they have to choose a side.
The girl which you called Midas's girlfriend or wife can be his daughter because in the Greek story he had touched and turned his daughter in to gold
The skin Renegade Shadow could’ve been the one in the isolation cell at the Shark, and he broke out to try to hunt down Midas, probably the one who imprisoned him. That’s why in the new wallpaper he is a shadow member, as Ghost ran the Shark and they didn’t treat him well in the isolation cell. The 5 Silos around the Agency can be potentially the 4 of the 7 and the Cyclo which Midas is trying to revive with the power of the storm where he is draining the storm’s energy and turning it into dark matter to power Cyclo to launch the rockets. I’m guessing the rockets launch in the event and reopen a rift to go back to the old map with all of the Agency and the buildings with No Sweat Insurance labels. Then Shadow takes the Agency when it lands back onto the original island. And the reason Midas does all this May be because his Daughter is still on the other side of the black hole and didn’t come through as she was on another island unaffected by it.
I like how all of this is going on while we duke it out with deadly storms.
You missed out on a key detail. When going into the agents section in the battle pass and click on Midas you will be able to click on the record player and if you repeatedly click it, music will play and Agent Peely will pop out and almost spy on Midas. Maybe there is a under cover team in the makings

If Midas is a Ghost agent why is it that he has a picture of a girl in his room who has a shadow symbol on her shirt? Maybe if Midas is really being perceived as bad he may be a double agent and the picture is just giving it away.
When shadow storms the agency in a moment of panic he will Activate the doomsday Project and beams of Kevin energy will shoot into the sky and wrap back down going straight through the Agency and Power the actual Device (the Dome thingy) and will try to make a "zero point" (I think this was his plan to reset the island again)but it will fail because it was rushed and he didn't have time to perfect it and it will blow up causing the Dam to breach and stuff to flood and other things will get destroyed. Edit: When the Doomsday Device fails it could either Blow up and break the dam or Release a very powerful Storm that could flood the map.

gwn elias Oro is Midas. They have the same scar, same cheekbone, same pointy chin, the handprint of Midas got changed into Oro’s handprint, set name: Midas’ Revenge. It can’t be more obvious they are the same but the only thing that doesn’t make sense is that They are both alive at the same time. Well I can explain this. Oro is Midas but from the chapter 1 map here is proof. In Chapter 1 Season 8 a couple of new POi’s got added. One f those new POi’s was Sunny Steps. Sunny Steps looks a lot like El Dorado. And El Dorado means The Golden King. So I think Oro is Midas from chapter 1 got sucked into the chapter 2 map by the black hole. Or Oro is dead Midas because he owns his pickaxe, and there are leaks that The Agency will get destroyed and maybe then Oro will turn into Midas. We’ll just have to wait and see.

The one picture of the girl in midas’s room is his engineer, she’s going to help him with all his plans that he’s planning on doing, I think she’s going to come out in season three. This is my theory.

in the new leaks for the new skins , theres a skin called cyclo and it seems to be highly connected to the storyline but not only that, the loading screen going into the live event has been leaked and it shows midas staring at cyclos skin who's in a glass container in his office and theres also the reflection of the daughter or lover in the glass , it could be her or not
