Ikr, like normally you would think it would not go well with a chaotic rage song like this but for some reason it does
I honestly like the self-aware implications of this song. This song shows a situation that shouldn't and couldn't have happened. The song takes place directly during the source material Madness 11, and Tricky should probably be fighting Hank right now. Except he is not. It "ISN'T RIGHT", Tricky "CAN'T KILL", and there's some "MIDGET" in front of him that is clearly "NOT HANK". The result? Our favorite psychopath goes into fourth wall breaking confusion and sadness. His animations show emotions of shock (left), desperation (up), depression (down), and the right animation is just him pointing at BF in a shocked "YOU'RE NOT HANK" way, and the special animation for him yelling "HAAAAANK" shows it even better. The same stands for the voice, going from angry zombie noises of the previous songs to just the same confusion and sadness. Poor Tricky just wanna kill him some Hank, but he is forced to rap battle some midget over a girl he hasn't the slightest care about outside of maybe killing her too, which he also "CAN'T". Overall, Tricky shows a quite natural, in-character reaction to this whole mess, and that's why I love this song.

I would like to believe this is the same reason that Tricky was unable to punch BF at the end of the Hellclown animation. I believe that during the Hellclown song, Tricky still believes he's within the madness combat scene, but as stuff starts to unfold in a way he's not used to, (him not being able to kill BF), he starts to become aware. In Expurgation, Tricky realizes that he is not in madness combat, however, he doesn't know where he is. He cries out for Hank desperately hoping to see a familiar sight, but is not given the reality he hopes for. I think Expurgation is the process of Tricky realizing he's not in madness combat, but instead within a mod.

I find it interesting how tricky realizes something's wrong, that being that he's in the wrong game, so he can't kill he doesn't understand, but references the system being unresponsive (because he's trying to access his system despite being inside of fnf) and how something isn't right and he can't kill bf

Tricky became too powerful he's literally able to send grunts into another universe (in this case, Hell.) You can tell how because if a character slides through the ground that means that the character is going into that universe. The red barrier should indicate the barrier to Reality (the main universe) or something that was connected to Tricky infusing with Auditor. Tricky clones sink out of the red barrier as soon as Hank and Sanford arrive to it and Hank stabbed it incredibly deep in the biggest hole from the Tricky clones. This made Tricky who was at Reality die and flop on the ground, Sanford and Hank also sink out of Hell alongside Tricky who just died and you can also see that the Auditor crawled out of Tricky's corpse (or a bit more accurate, Tricky's head) and uses telekinesis to bring his halo back which was on the ground. That's all I know that I can explain.

It's really not that hard to complete mods first try after plenty of playtime, just so long as you play enough and have good reflexes. The hard part is playing it well. It's simple enough to hit enough arrows just to make it to the end, but it's hella hard to do well, much less do well first try

@@thejfk_experience490 There's too much criteria in this song to get used too to ever hope of first shotting it. There's cheap red arrows that merge well and close with regular ones, not to mention you need experience to get used to that mechanic that'll insta kill you and you need to be at a high amount of health at around the end or you'll instantly be killed by the pulling clown. This is definitely a song that you need to proofread first before actually completing it, first try seems fundamentally impossible unless you watch a vid of the song extensively and are actually a God at rhythm games but a couple of tries is in the realm of highly unlikely but possible.

Considering Tricky has mild fourth wall awareness (he glances at the camera in early episodes of Madness Combat, plus makes the screen glitch often), and that this is basically a bonus non-canon song, I think this is Tricky becoming aware that he's in a mod, and as such, he has to follow the rules now. This isn't an animation, this is a video game, and he's having a breakdown because he's stuck with Boyfriend *again.* He even vainly screams "HAAAAAAAAANK" late into the song, as if desperately wanting something familiar to show up. Could be completely wrong tho.

For anyone who doesn't know what's going on, go watch madness combat. This version of tricky's first and only appearance is in the latest episode (MC 11). I suggest watching the whole series. But if you want a quick explanation, then keep on reading. The auditor (the dark figure seen watching this whole fight during the last cutscene on song 3) was fighting Hank and Sanford, our two protagonists. But because he was losing, he absorbs his agents to get his health back, and become more powerful. But while he was absorbing all the agents, he accidentally absorbed tricky. Which then led to the auditor and tricky internally fighting each other for power, accidentally opening up a portal to hell, which is where this song takes place. The reason Tricky has a halo, was because the auditor took it from Jesus (Or jebus), who was trying to stop the auditor from continuing this madness. The other tricky skeletons are just his henchmen, not actually him. In the actual series, Tricky was basically in control of this world. His only goal was finding Hank and Sanford, and to kill them (while still being a crazy but still wacky psychopathic clown). In this mod, tricky DOES know where he is....kind of. Like I said, in the original series, he was in control of this world. Being able to summon weapons and henchmen all he wants, and bringing the only two people he wants dead (Hank and Sanford) to his personal hell so he can deal with them. Now maybe the mod made its own canon, because not only does he not know where Hank is, but he also said "Why can't I kill?" For some reason, he doesn't have his powers in this world. He can't summon his any weapons or henchmen (which probably explains why they pop up for a few seconds, and then go back into the dark puddle.) He's not as strong as he's supposed to be, stuck with two people who aren't the Hank and Sanford, and can't summon anything to help him. So he's probably wondering that, if this isn't his personal hell, then where *is* he? But hey, maybe I'm just reading too much into a great mod of a rhythm cartoon game, who knows?

"Nexus Notes" refers to the halo itself on top of the notes - a Nexus Fragment. Ergo, Nexus Notes. I don't know why you have to complain about someone else's choice of names for them.
