How To Develop a Comfortable Forward Fold- 5 Key Exercises
Here is a comprehensive guide into developing a comfortable toe touch. I firmly believe everybody should be able to palm the floor with ease to improve quality of life and movement potential!
Included is a biomechanical breakdown of the forward fold and what needs to happen at the femur, pelvis, and spine to achieve max depth. I then cover 5 of my favorite exercises to develop flexibility and specific strength of the associated muscles needed to hinge/fold.
This is by no means a all inclusive list of exercises and different individuals will respond to different techniques. If you would like more one on one guidance and coaching, please reach out here⬇️

That was an amazing breakdown, I’ve been on a journey the last year and have come across some of the exercises you have shown but didn’t know the why, especially the hip flexor. Cheers
Great to hear. The why behind it is important. At least to me!
Nice video Garret! Super informative
Appreciate you giving it a watch Eddie! Hopefully some useful tips for you to add in
I'm wondering if you can help me wrap my head around a concept regarding mobility/strength. How should I go about treating discomfort / tightness in my hip. I'm mid 20's and active with above average fitness. I have discomfort in my front hip when my leg is in full extension (mostly doing core work, hanging leg raises, etc.). Should I treat it as tightness and find exercises to stretch it or do I treat it as a weakness and find exercises that require load to strengthen it? How should I think about the difference between stretching and stretching with load? Is there a place for only stretching vs finding exercises that add load? Great informational video btw!
Hey thank you for the question. Would you be able to send me an email? Too much to discuss over here in the comments section.
