    • I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Men and women think very differently from each other. It seems like it's impossible for men and women to emotionally connect with each other. Women do emotionally connect with other women, better than men do. Women can build incredible friendships and become very close to each other in a way men can't bond, and science shows that women can bond very well with each other. Generally, women are even more social than men are. After something bad happens, a woman quickly rushes to talk to all of her female friends to get support, whereas a man can isolate himself and grief alone. Women tend to be more emotionally intelligent, more caring, more empathic, more compassionate, more affectionate, more loyal, more nurturing, more understanding, more sympathetic, more sensitive, more kind-hearted, more peaceful, more calmer, more gentle, more selfless, more expressive, more intuitive, and more outward than men are, and thus bond more with other women in a special way that they can’t with men. Men, on the other hand, are not that emotional, and thus can’t bond with other men in a special way. Women regulate emotion better. Women are more comfortable being around with other women than they are with men. They have a type of bond that usually men with women won’t really have, or with men and men. Also, girls that are friends touch each other in ways that guys just don’t.

    • @@icysnow57cold64It's a bit cliche but the old saying is 0"opposites attract". Do you want 2 people who are highly emotional together? No, that's a trainwreck. Men and women have different strengths and weaknesses that compliment each other in a relationship and in a family.

      @loveGG3@loveGG32 ай бұрын
    • @@loveGG3 Men don't have the same depth of connection with their friends as women do with theirs. Men do not share their emotions like how women do with each other. Men also don't talk about their feelings like how women do with each other. Platonic affection is very common between female friends, while it rarely happens between male friends. Boys don't form intimate friendships that girls do, so men tend to be more platonically lonely than women. A reason why women tend to handle romantic loneliness better than men do is because so many men are not better than being lonely. I heard that women value platonic friendships more than men do. Many men are consciously deciding that platonic relationships have no value.

  • I feel like because of movies like this all guys have a self-perception of being ‘straightforward’. No. You are not straightforward when you make excuses about why you want to watch the game and not do the dishes.

    @shrishtisinha6692@shrishtisinha66922 жыл бұрын
    • Relationships are negotiations. Anyone has the right for anything to be a dealbreaker in a relationship. If it's important to a guy to always be allowed to watch the game without being interrupted, nagged, etc. that is absolutely his right. And if a woman refuses to be in a relationship with a man who always wants the right to watch the game, that is her right. It's only not straightforward when someone lies about their expectations and desires. For example, if a guy lies to a woman and says he loves her more than the game and will never prioritize the game over her just to get her into bed, and once he gets what he wants he immediately does the opposite of what he said, THAT would not be straightforward. If a guy lies and says he will do the dishes and then never does them, THAT would not be straightforward. But if a guy says he can't stand doing the dishes, but he's willing to do the laundry, clean the toilet, and take out the trash as long as he never has to do the dishes, and if he does the laundry, cleans the toilet, and takes out the trash, he not only is being straightforward, he is also being perfectly fair. If he says that watching the game is important to him, but he will make sure to do the dishes before 7 pm and he will take her out on a special date next Friday so she can feel special and have every chance to talk and be heard that isn't him being selfish, manipulative, or just making excuses. Women are often hypocrites on this. The very same woman who insists that a guy not prioritize a game over her would come unglued if he expected her to miss an important episode of her favorite soap opera. Or in a more subtle way, a woman might get mad at her husband for wanting to watch the game with his buddies, but at the same time would get mad if he said she couldn't go shopping with her girlfriends. Being in a relationship does not mean you own the other person or that you don't still need to negotiate an arrangement that you both can live with. If a man refused to let a woman spend time with her family and friends and do some of her favorite hobbies, people would rightly say the man was abusive and controlling. Well, the same is true when a woman won't let her husband spend time with his family and friends and do some of his favorite hobbies.

  • Ok people, a guy isn't scared to admit it, he is or he isn't. Don't bind yourself up trying to figure it out or waiting around. It's not your job to be responsible for his emotions. If he wants something enough, he can go and get it. Look at all the work you put into relationships, does somebody deserve that for nothing? Don't you need to know they're going to do their best to match you? I hated the way this movie made Ginnifer Goodwin so desperate. I think his coming around at the end is unrealistic. Too many women throw away too much time, energy, emotion, even money, on relationships that are not going to pan out. Believe in better for yourself. Please.
