They never practice together, they rehearse their part of the song only twice before they go on stage and sing it for the third time with their mystery duet. On stage they hear their partner's voice distorted in their ear monitors so they can not tell with who they sing with until the wall lifts off. This is a great concept for a show, it is not a competition, it is the surprise factor that keeps the interest, and it also shows the professionalism of the singers and their improvisation abilities since they have minimal practice with the song and having to adjust their voices to someone that sounds like a cartoon in your ear is very difficult. Their Duet was voted the best of that particular episode and rightfully so. This video released first on Julia's channel and has surpassed 2M views it also has another 1.1M on Diana's channel.

They don't know who is on the other side, they rehearse separately and their voice is distorted so as not to recognize each other. I think it is complicated since they never rehearse together, so here they demonstrate an enormous level of interpretation, they are true artists! Julia's voice is beautiful but Diana is something else, her voice is divine, unique and powerful, she is beyond any parameter, for me there is no one like her!! 😍

Они вместе не репетировали, так как не знали кто будет в дуэте. Для сохранения интриги, в ушной монитор подается искажённый звук и до открытия перегородки трудно догадаться, чей голос звучит. Дуэты подбираются из друзей и близких людей. Они дружат.
Они не видели друг друга и в наушниках у них были мультяшные голоса, чтоб они даже по голосу не могли узнать кто поет и узнали друг друга только когда открылась перегородка.

They practiced I think only once or twice, separately, and they were able to use software to disguise the other person's voice, both during practice as well as in the live performance so they weren't able to know who they were singing with until that final mirror raised. Julia Parshuta and Diana know each other from The Show Mask Go On. In Diana's video of Can't Help Falling In Love, Julia was the blonde in the red dress. That show was I think 9 or 10 episodes so the contestants all got to know each other pretty well during that time.
Yes, Yulia said that she dreams of singing with Diana. It happened. A good duet.

The singers don't know who their stage partner is. The partners have headphones and distorted sound sounds from there, so they cannot determine who they are singing with. The distorted sound in the headphones disappears after opening the partition between the singers. When you watched Diana on the song "Can't help falling in love" did you notice the girl who clutched her head? So it was Julia Parshuta.

Julia (pronounced Yulia) is a fantastic singer, and she also seems to be a wonderful person (I am mostly basing this on her comments on ShowMaskGoOn). Diana's voice is just so unusual, instantly recognisable, and totally addictive. And she is so lovely too! I love them both 😍
I’m answering your question about the format of the “Duets” show. The show's music editor selects singers for a duet and a song. The show participants perform this song for the first time. Singers rehearse individually. Three rehearsals in the studio and one rehearsal with the orchestra. The artists sing solos in rehearsals.The singers do not know with whom they will sing. A mirror screen separates them on stage, and their partner’s distorted (cartoon) voice sounds in the headphones. The cameraman raises the screen and turns off the voice distortion at the beginning of the third verse. Several couples perform in the show. Spectators evaluate the artists' ability to sing blindly.
