The big eye in voyage was supposed to represent Odin’s eye so the big tree is the world tree in Norse mythology which holds all the realms (which is why all the planets show up on the tree). I believe the idea was that VoD was Odin’s map, IX was Ra’s map, DotN was Danu’s map, and Ancient evil was Zeus’s map.
I guess Ra for IX doesn’t make much sense since it’s for all 4 gods and it takes place in Rome but it’s not like Voyage took place in Norway for Odin. Danu for DotN is kinda a stretch but it’s a very foresty map and Danu is all about that stuff. Odin fits very well for Voyage and Zeus fits perfectly for AE.
@@mistermoose-2926pretty sure IX takes place in Egypt. It has Roman features because Egypt was a Roman providence, so Ra makes sense. Danu is a celtic Irish goddess, and Alastair specifically built his Irish mansion where celtic druids were in the past (hence the shit in the forest and his possession of the artifact) so Danu lines up perfectly. You are correct though, its been pretty well telegraphed each map/artifact is tied to a different god Fun fact: the specialists are all tied to a god too. Hammer of Valhalla is Odin, Chakrams of Vengeance are Zeus, Staff of Ra is… Ra, and Viper/Dragon is Danu
@@mistermoose-2926Nope, you're completely right. You can tell which is which by the Sentinel Artefact featured in said maps. VoD = Odin, IX = Ra, DotN = Danu, Ancient Evil = Zeus.
@@Tony_H_Rapt that’s actually pretty funny that there’s actually evidence for this because I was only like 60% sure I was right
I always assumed IX was meant to be a mix between the four gods, and that the map following Ancient Evil would be focused on egyptian mythology, given how medusa spoke of a library in the ee cutscene (Most likely the Library of Alexandria, which was located in Egypt)
Chaos got done dirty, i was invested from the jump since the first map i played was IX. Literally surrounded by four guant statues of gods from different pantheons in the middle of a roman colosseum being forced to fight the hordes unleashed by the "High Priest of Chaos"
Chaos is so interesting a more fantasy/mythological look at zombies was so refreshing

Botd Morse code step is not just random dots or dashes, it’s actually something you can decipher and just put it in first try. But it is easier just to trial and error it.

Voyage could’ve have the best thing ever where the boat sinks once you start to complete the Easter egg. Kinda forcing people to speedrun over and over making the map more playable.

Some of the zombies maps are actually really really good( Ancient evil/dead of the night/ IX) it just sucks the the bo4 engine makes them annoying to play

I still get a sense of nostalgia to how excited i was for black ops 4. I was undoubtedly disappointed but it brings me back to simpler times. I was 12 when it came out and bo3 was my favorite game to play, i learned my first easter egg from mr roffle waffles when i was 11 during chronicles on origins. What in trying to say is this game was important to teach me not to believe everything you hear especially if theyre trying to sell it to you. Bo4 was my first pre-order and damn did it make an impression.
You can kill the catalysts in any order but you have to do the trials as lex said. I’ve seen a few people say you gotta kill them in that order so hopefully this can make things a bit easier for people.
For those of you who would like to cheese Blood´s ee with elixirs, something that fixes the most annoying part of it is carrying a cache back (max ammo) as it also fully charges your shield which is especially useful on the new industries step, it´s weird how I haven´t seen anyone else talking about it!! Edit: Sorry guys, this isn't true, apparently it's just a visual glitch that happens sometimes when picking a max ammo as it will say you have the max charges on the shield but you won't be able to actually use them:/
Black ops 4 is so underrated so much content and every map has an Easter egg with cool steps and secret arenas and rooms and stuff, even the 3 launch maps you get is so much content, also dead or the dead is criminally underrated

I think I speak for everyone when I say that Lex is easily the best zombies youtuber.
Recently I have been playing Cold War again and with this year being the year treyarchs next COD comes out, one thing I have to say it I really hope that a lot of the ideas from Cold War return for example some of the wonder weapons like the D.I.E or RAI K some how or plague hounds or parts of the 80’s aesthetic that it had going throughout it(IK already that the next game is gonna be set in late 80’s early 90’s), and lot of the quality of life changes that they made in Cold War, but I do hope to see the return of shields in zombies, really do hope that the next game has the same neon feel that Cold War did
Same, i liked the QoL changes too, but I hope 2024 cod has more originality in the maps and story compared to CW, even Bo4 with all it's remasters felt more original and well designed than CW (every CW map is a realistic drab facility)
I think for voyage the eye health takes dmg based on the amount of players. Because me and my friends hit him with so many rockets before he swapped phases

Jugg wasnt in this cod zombies to my knowledge so i havent tried or really played this one. First time seeing the easter egg steps here and it just seems like they wanted to be goofy as hell with the game as a whole
People hate on these maps so much it makes no sense. Recently I played bo4 for the first time ever and first tried every ee using guides. The only step that took a bit was the Morse code because I didn’t understand it properly. I like bo4 more than bo2 now except for origins.

I love this game. I dont know why people hate it. Like it has zero bad maps besides classified
the zombie AI is incredibly aggressive & annoying zombies start sprinting way too early zombies spawn predictively in front of where you're trying to go elixirs suck, are heavily nerfed and even more p2w than bo3 (more pay less win) way too many mini-bosses and catalysts every round (especially on IX) perk system just feels bad, hud looks bad Classified doesn't have the pentagon thief VoD's layout combined with the zombie AI and stokers makes it an unfun cramped nightmare map, even though the map looks amazing. BoTD has an infamously annoying/buggy easter egg quest and doesn't have the GG bridge. when the game launched it had intense crashing issues, everyone was crashing and losing their games, though it is much better today. I like BO4 too, you can tell the devs actually cared compared to what we have today. this is just off the top of my head why there are very good reasons to hate BO4.
oh yeah i forgot another big one if you try to hold a zombie for easter egg steps they spontaneously die and change the round after like 4 minutes

looking back i had a great time with bo4 grinding for dark matter beating the ee and even the gauntlets are a nice challenge unfortunately rewards for doing them were non existing and there was no reason to replay bo4 again since the pure gameplay/just surviving was 0 Fun
