#Jeopardy #Monokuma #Obama
Wow this is trippy hearing Monokuma read these questions while Arin goes 'uhhhh' at the same time.
Definitely threw me off for a second
I thought that Arin was just reading them so I guess he did dubbed them in?
right? I'm glad i'm not the only one who noticed lol
i still dont understand why he keeps saying "answer" before he reads the questions
@@tieflingcorpse9817 lol it's how they do it in real jeopardy, the questions they ask you are the answers which is why you answer the answer with a question
List of categories for Dan: - Sport team logos - Jewish culture - 70s bands - Strange thumb shapes - People who dug the Qumran caves
- Unicorns
-Sierra Entertainment games
- Dinosaur names
Specifically Rush
For Arin its: -Toilets and Other Bathroom items & products
Jeopardy except if you fail, you are executed by Monokuma in a terrifyingly over the top fashion
"Bring out the punishment wheel!"
"IIIIITS PUNISHMENT TIIIIME!!"
Everyone in the class trial trying to figure out who the killer is.* “Um, what is 11037?
"There are no w's" *Execution music starts*
"the weapon is located here, hidden in plain sight." "what is meat on the bone?"
13:17 I said "Okay you fucking weeb" out loud and had to compose myself when Dan said that 3 seconds later.
I was telling myself as the question was being read “I guarantee that Arin knows this. Fuckin weeb” and then I almost spit out my drink when Dan said it
"what? who's sam smith?" nice job arin, you're playing the game correctly!
Idk why but this is so funny to me
lmaooo
I love Sam Smith though. :C
@@DalionHeartTTV I'm Ready is a fucking banger

I think we’re getting close to another Wheel of Fortune session.
Don't do that...don't give me hope...
please.
Oooh, another positive wheel sesh? This will to wonders for charging _that_ crystal.
@@Archgeek0 I really want someone to romhack a Wheel of Fortune game with all Grumps themed answers. I'd love to see "J.O. Crystal" on that board.
You were right man!!! Look at the new episode
I really appreciated the editing with Monokuma falling on and sinking into that coconut cream pie.
I was eating dinner and that part caught me so off guard XD
Nice try, but this is really Arin's audition tape for Monokuma in the next *Dingdongbingbong*

Arin yelling the questions is comedy gold. Actual Jeopardy, TAKE NOTES.
It scared the shit out of me. Like why TF is he yelling did he get mad? Also I smoked a bit so like, whoa
Hearing Arin talk while the monokuma voice is still happening is unsettling.
yeahh I assume it was .. they got copyrightstriked on the sound of the announcer? XD

I LOVE watching GG play game show games. They really let Arin and Dan's personalities and sense of humour shine!
Yup! Can't wait for them to start their 10 Minute Power Hour vids again! Well that, Danganronpa 2 and/or DDLC Plus
My grandma used to call it shining!
I would love to see them on a real game show. Maybe they could get on Um, Actually
@@RabblesTheBinx Grumps Celebrity Jeopardy with Jacob Anderson, hosted by Weird Al.
it's kinda meta, you know. it's always more enjoyable to watch a game show on TV than playing its video game version, and yet we sit entertained technically watching the Grumps on a game show even knowing they're playing the video game version.
now one might ask, "why the monokuma and obama tags?" but i am here to say, "why not, my friend?"
Monokuma is half white and half black. guess what Obama is, too? i think we're onto something...
Both were guest hosts in this video
Two of the guest host voices Arin used are Monokuma and Obama. Isn't that why?
Literally my first thought
Answer in monokuma voice: what is the one thing that life has to offer from the moment you’re born? “DESPAIR” Makoto: NO THATS WRONG!!!
And the categories are: 70’s rock Sports Judaism New York Giants Stegosaurus And potpourri
Or just pot- seeing as he was a stoner "back in the day" and *definitely* doesn't smoke anymore....
it's spelled poopoori
"I guess a pumpkin is also a gourd." Arin, pumpkins are THE gourd.
Gourds are THE gourds. Pumpkin, gourd, and squash are all part of the same family of plants, and we just call them all gourds. If pumpkins were THE gourd, we would call the group of them "pumpkins" and then specify if they were traditional, or squash or gourd.
Gourd is used as a title for all members of the squash family which includes pumpkins, and is part of the larger family Cucurbitaceae
@@demonzabrak As in pumpkins are the most ubiquitous gourd. Probably would've said "pumpkins are the only gourd" if I was trying to make the comment you're assuming.
@@TheLivingSeven I mean, "pumpkins are the only gourd" would also be correct in the sense that they were the only gourd among the three possible answers.
@@Desparil Zucchinis (especially the older ones) can be called gourds.
Oh so they added the voices AFTER the recording? Thats neat.
Yup, took me a while to figure that out
@@longers1028 Same here! It wasn't until 17:17 where they overlapped slightly too fast that I figured it out
I just figured it out around 22:30, i was wondering why Dan didn’t react to it… :p
The minute Dan didn't react to the first one I felt that something was fucky.
OH, i heard arin talking over himself and i thought i was going crazy
“It’s cuz of my magic thumbs” With how much he complains about them, I’m surprised Danny didn’t follow that up with “my magic, misshapen thumbs.”
My magic, horribly malformed thumbs.
Arin: "It's a gourd, so..." Also Arin: Selects an option that is not a gourd.
The man didnt really think an effing eggplant was a gourd, right?!?!
This entire episode is Arin flexing his voice acting.
he switches between voices so flawlessly i almost thought the answers were overdubbed in post at first
@@xaostek they are
Yo i love that game on your pfp, too bad it's lost to time
is that what you call it
Less flexing, more "annoying the shit out of everyone". It's like back in school when the class clown was making "funny voices", except they weren't funny or interesting and instead just frustratingly annoying. I skipped through so much of the episode because of this garbage and given the prospect of the entire thing being like this, I'll probably just dislike and move on to the next video.
Playing whatever Grumps feel like - best series ever, keep it up
The Ichthys is actually Greek, but sure enough Dan’s big Dino brain did get him the answer. I’m happy he got a correct answer because of it.
Well "Greek" was literally in the answer so yeah 😂
@@olivervaraljai6149 But Dan ignored it like Arin ignoring an obvious tutorial blurb, I think "pulling an Arin" might be contagious.
Hence the study of fish being called "ichtheology".
@@nathanweast4397 hah haaaaaah~

Wow, it really took until Arin started reading the question by screaming from a distance for me to realize the readings were done in post
Man... Monokuma's job has really changed directions... LOL
This just in... Egoraptor will be the new voice actor for Monokuma in the upcoming title: Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp. 😆
Arin, you can't just use the Monokuma voice around me like that.
Does it offend the sensibilities of the TOGAMI FAMILY NAME?
Get some cream for your forehead wrinkles
Oh hey you're back.
Hi me
Have you gained and then subsequently lost a surprising amount of weight?
The monokuma voiceover scared the fuck out of me
I un-ironically love that Spoiler Owl is a Sparrow making an Eagle sound. Cracks me up.
10:05 will prob be the voice of Monami in Danganronpa 2… if they ever play it 😭😭😭
Yeah they will
So excited to see the voices for that because when they play Danganronpa I had no idea what it was but now I’m so familiar with the characters and their voices it’s gonna be weird hearing the grumps version particularly gundham because he’s my favorite character from dr 2 and he has a very particular voice

symbology is the study of symbols though
@@sigurdgram Symbolism is the actual act or symbol being used to represent an object or idea. Symbology is a word that kind of self manifest(perhaps from the joke itself) as it seemed like it should be a thing as you said to try to describe someone studying symbols. Any reference to or use of a symbol is properly referenced as a use of Symbolism. The only time symbology could be used would be referring to a professor of it which doesn't seem to actually exist, as no one is solely in the field of studying symbols in general. The is a magic card of a symbology professor that's about as real as it gets.
still waiting for that 3rd movie, but Norman just had to go and get himself famous for zombie show.
That moment... when Arin thinks Queen Elizabeth I, the Virgin Queen, was Queen Victoria... O_O'
Lol
"Geo-party"? Guys, come on. It's right there... "JO-party" Gotta charge up those crystals.
the amount of danganronpa in this episode might mean that danganronpa's on their mind, so maybe they've already started DR2? that'd be cool
I wish lmao, I really enjoyed their playthrough
Maybe. But not if they know about Doki Doki Literature Club Plus coming out Thursday
We can only hope...
I think they’ll play it after it comes onto the switch ( I hope )
@@kaleb609 why-
I'm glad Monokuma is still getting work. It's hard out there for a bear.
We need some kind of animation using a hybrid of Arin's Monokuma clips and his Larry The Cable Guy clips. Just imagine Monokuma in a little flannel vest and trucker cap talking about Prilosec and Despair. 11:32 Also, can we take a moment to appreciate the mental image of an evening gown with *lasagna shoulder pads* attached? Sounds like what Murphy Brown wears to bed every night.
all I could think of was that classic whose line hoedown about wearing pasta as clothing
“Downpayment on a house, maybe”. Not in LA, he can’t.
Saw the thumbnail and freaked out initially: "OMG FINALLY DANGANRONPA 2!!" Still happy, but ugh, my heart.
exactly how i felt, goddamn cocktease
Yeah same, they’ll probably play it after it comes on the switch. ( I hope )

I've finish danganronpa 2 this morning for the first time and they gonna have it hard. The trials are way more difficult...way longer too it's gonna take them a year to complete it
@@amiante2000 I don’t think it’ll take a whole year, but either than that you’re correct.
My neighbors probably thought I was having a nervous breakdown with how hard I was laughing at Monokuma face planting then sinking slowly into that pie.
That's a major W for Arin for taking the time to record lines for ALL the questions.
Not me screaming "IT'S ANNE YOU DIPSHITS!!" at my phone... Also I feel like we need to talk about "lasagna shoulder pads"
"I'll take de butt albums for 400, Alex" "Mr. Connery..." "Happy trails, _like your mother'sh got!"_
“I used to play T-ball” really got me
Dan: "Damn, Michael!" Michael: "Damn, Daniel!"
They're just tormenting us at this point with Monokuma reading the questions.
Oh they're hinting at it with that Monokuma voice
I saw Monokuma and it brought a tear of joy to my eye. I hope they do the second game!
Hearing Monokuma yell "YOU FUCKING WEEB" was probably the best thing I have heard in a few years
wait...did arin narrate this as monokuma *after* they recorded the episode ?
Seems like it lol
He 100% did, there are a few points where the monokuma voice is going and Arin is talking in behind it. Also, Dan would have 100% commented on it during the episode
Either that or he has ascended as a voice actor and acquired a second set of vocal chords
Actually, that wasn't Arin. Sometimes Egoraptor is just hanging out, and they don't mention it. They do sound very similar.
@@Bluhbear oohhh my bad lol
lovin that the show is getting its old energy back. feels good feels organic
Arin probably knows more about Japanese history than American history
Doesn't help that American history was rewritten over and over again to fit the modern American ideals so no wonder most people are more interested in other countries history.
@@kotarodesu_23 What do you mean by "American history was rewritten over and over again to fit the modern American ideals"?
@@jdunn0 I thought it's fairly common knowledge that American History isn't very accurate because of its heavy involvement in slavery, racism and other moral issues that modern America heavily frowns upon. So as to not expose high schoolers to that because they're still in high school, they decided to white out those parts in the textbook or jump over them entirely. College on the other hand, I think provides extensive information about all parts of history so that's good at least.
@@jdunn0 Japan also does the same thing btw, with their heavy involvement in WW2 and being an ally of the Nazis. The textbooks here kinda skip over that fact, with what they've done to other asian countries and POW's of american descent, it doesn't really get mentioned as the knowledge isn't sanctioned by the government itself. If you choose to pursue higher education though, you can read up on what actually happened through the internet or from college textbooks.
@@jdunn0: Popular American history seems to be "We won the revolutionary war against a Goliath of a tyrant all on our own" (ignoring that the British Empire was heavily involved in other business, halfway across the world, that much of their fighting forces were German mercenaries and that the "patriots" were supported by not one but three European empires, with the French empire being directly involved even in land battles - not to mention native American support on both sides). Then those genius founding fathers wrote the greatest, most impeccable documents ever (so perfect they'd never need any amendments), with no inspiration whatsoever from the Magna Carta, Bill of Rights (the English one), John Locke, Montesquieu, etc. etc. Then the great American tradition of freedom continued as they so kindly liberated the slaves (a good 50 years after aforementioned "tyrants" did, the same tyrants who used their naval dominance to force the rest of Europe to stop the slave trade - American ships helped… not for any altruistic purposes, but only in order to maintain their own dominance on the slavery front). And then of course the Americans won both world wars singlehandedly.
I appreciate the monokuma voice over of the answers Arin. Thank you!
For a split second I thought they were playing Danganronpa again for some reason and I was like "Nooooo, please not again!" Lmao

I wonder what lead Arin to use his monokuma voice for dubbing over the answers 😭
"Ichtys, a Greek word" Danny: "I know my latin"
"It's an obi~" "You... f-ng wEEB!" 😂😂😂
This was everything I needed right now since everything in my life went to crap today! Thank you Arin and Dan for always making me laugh.
Arin not knowing when the Civil War was makes me, a European, pee-an my pants.
why
I doubt even 1 in 20 Americans know when the Civil War was.
American education tends to gloss over a lot of the civil war, and most Americans probably know it was sometime in the 1800's or "when Abraham Lincoln was president, but not the exact years
Was that when Captain America fought Iron Man?
Yea we don't really learn about it which is wild-
Eggplant is a berry, specifically from the Nightshade (Solanum) genus of plants, which also includes tomato, and potato. While Pumpkin and Zucchini are both members of the genus Cucurbita along with most gourds and cucumber.
I really appreciate the voiceover on the questions, it makes this so much more enjoyable and I can listen to the episode. Thank you!
I think arin misses doing the monokuma voice. If only there was a sequel they could play
Arin thinking that Queen Elizabeth I is Queen Victoria is... weird
Loved the extra polish with the added voices for the questions.
Really appreciate you guys adding dialogue over for the answers so I know what they are answering. I mainly am listening to this at work so it's nice
I literally just looked up what were pepita's yesterday when they were listed in my trail mix. that's crazy
Glad to see our favorite evil bear.
"All I know is Queen Victoria." That is in fact not at all Queen Victoria. Funnily enough, later there was actually a portrait of Queen Victoria, but he didn't realize that they are two very different looking people.
Monokuma on the thumbnail. We're getting closer to a Danganronpa 2 series
I love when we get these strings of gameshow games. Hopefully Wheel of fortune is coming up
8:25 I laughed way too hard
Thanks for dubbing the questions in, helps us who just like to listen understand the episode better.
I like this jeopardy version. It’s fast, slick, and pretty polished. It isn’t trying to be more that a good game show. I love it.
Golly them putting Monokuma in the thumbnail makes me want them to play SDR2 so bad
At first I thought it was a bit, but mah boi recorded and added the prompts in post. I can't say for sure, but y'all just did a real nice thing for me and any other blind people who listen. Even if it doesn't stick or is something else, thank you so very much :)
Thank you guys so much for reading the questions aloud, it's extremely helpful for people who only listen, or have vision issues. I really liked it and I hope you continue doing it!
Personally it made it way way harder for me to follow along, maybe it was just the voice but I could hardly understand what he was saying while simultaneously making it impossible to read it myself
GIVE US IT TAKES TWO PLEASE MASTERS
Hah, if anyone makes an animated of this they have to include Monokuma's pupupupu looking a**. The influence Is spreading!
i like that the crowd takes turns reading out the questions for danny and arnold, very helpful
That screaming voice Arin used for Alabama and Final Jeoparady really brings back some Sequelitis memories. NUMBER THREE NGGFFFFFFFFFFF
Dan: "Yeah Sam Smith plagiarized Tom Petty but Tom was cool with it" Tom Petty: *sued Sam Smith and received all royalties for Stay With Me a long time ago*
Damn sounds kinda... PETTY of him
Petty never sued Smith. They settled out of court.
He never sued and they settled on agreeable terms with no hard feelings on either side. 🤔 Almost like its apart of the industry and they both understood that. But yea professionalism isnt real, sensationalism is, plenty of articles earned money from my clicks as i objectively searched for legitimate conclusion i can see how someone would chose that interpretation if they were already Jaded.
This is almost like a mini best-of of Arin's voices
i hope that the inclusion of monokuma is foreshadowing for their playthrough of dr2
I appreciate the reading of the questions.
If Obama ever hosted Jeopardy!, a category should be "I'm Gonna Pre".
I love how every now and then, they'll just play through all the game show games.
Toasted pepitas are like super sunflower seeds. So good.
They answered the spaghetti straps question too fast and totally missed that one of the options was “lasagna shoulder pads.” XD XD
Difficulty is tied to voice recognition, the game assumed Arin had brain damage
He's just making us crave Danganronpa. don't get mad when we all start asking for the second game, just saying
Tom Petty LITERALLY sued Sam Smith for having the same chord progression. Additionally, he only said it was no big deal after they settled the lawsuit and Tom Petty was given a co-writing credit for a song he had no involvement with.
I guess you could say he was... petty
New intro: "Hey I'm Grump" "I'm Player 2..."
This may be off-topic, but what would everyone think about them trying out the Sly Cooper series? With Dan confirmed furry, I guarantee that Carmelita will be a favorite to BOTH.
if that's the route they go down, Isabelle from Animal Crossing may as well be next. *Don't encourage him*
It kinda sounds like Arin and Danny have never seen the back of a van or kinda junk-looking sedan. All those fish. At least they still got it.
I snapped right in that bowling question😂 thank god for being a bowling nerd🤣🤣🤣
As a Polynesian I can give you all of my poi knowledge: -it’s made from a starchy vegetable, mainly and most traditionally taro root -you make it by mashing said starchy vegetable on a board made from either basalt, calcite, coral or wood -it’s a blue-purple color -it’s supposed to taste sweet with a bit of a sour tang but i guess by taste buds are broken
I hope they don't forget to play the rest of the Breath of the Wild DLC. Especially with the next game coming next year
