Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne is just an icon and since the Batman is coming out soon, I wanted to highlight Bruce Wayne as a character. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy.
Spoiler Warning: Batman Begins, Justice League, Justice League Zach Snyder Cut, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises

It was Heath Ledger playing whatever Joker's real name is playing a psychopath when he is actually tricking the Mafia, the police, even batman into walking right into his trap. It even was emphasised when he's telling he has no plan, but then it's seen that he is rehearsing the speech he has prepared.

This line is a rare occurrence of the REAL Bruce peeking out from behind the Playboy's mask and he does it because he's jealous. By the way, I love the earlier line where Harvey says Rachel has told him everything about Bruce and Bruce says, "I certainly hope not". I remember that getting a laugh of appreciation in the theater. I really love that I was able to see all three movies in the theater when they came out. • What people don’t seem to realize is that all the Batman actors portray a COMPLETELY different stage in Batman’s career. Pattinson portrays the recluse billionaire who ignores the Bruce Wayne persona seeing it as Batman is more important and hasn’t yet realized that philanthropy and social presence is as significant in Gotham’s welfare. This is clearly in line with years one to two of Bruce’s personality. Bale portrays the reckless playboy and tabloid magnet who bangs supermodels, drives luxury cars, buys things that aren’t for sales, hangs with Russian dancers on yachts, drunkly burns down his house, shows up late, falls asleep in board meetings and insults his guests regularly. Then you have the matured humble philanthropist Bruce in his prime, Batfleck. Who is beloved by Gotham, is involved in charity, a complete people pleaser and gentleman, and overall just the type of man his parents wanted him to become. He uses Bruce Wayne and Batman as a means to better Gotham and the world. To compare them is completely nonsensical and a waste of time. Just understand Bruce’s evolution as a public figure in Gotham and how he has gone from recluse, to tabloid magnet, to philanthropist.

  • What I love about Bale’s version is Bruce’s secret love for Batman. You can tell when people discuss Batman and have admiration for what he’s done, Bruce focusses with some glee in his face. At this point he feels great about everything he is doing and hasn’t really come face-to-face with the consequences of his actions. Then at the end, Rachel basically tells him she’ll never be with him as long as he is Batman. Kinda dumb but okay. Then in the second one Bruce treats Batman more like a burden and less like a virtuous joy-ride. You can really tell that in the dinner scene with Harvey, Rachel, and the Russian dancer that his interest is insanely peaked by the thought of a world where Batman was no longer needed. And then that became his goal. I think that’s why I prefer this Batman over Pattinson. The first film is still kind of fun, sort of like Keaton, Bale’s Batman got a sick sort of thrill from it all, it played with the superhero aspects a bit more and I love superheroes. I appreciate the different approach with the new Batman and I hope they develop the sort of Bruce Wayne that would make sense for this universe. (Btw didn’t discuss The Dark Knight Rises cause I just don’t want to, f*ck that movie)

The Talia twist was dumb, Bruce became stupidly naïve, Bane gave Batman 5 months to recuperate for their showdown, Jordon Glovit Levit Buvit Muvit’s character was stupid and annoying as well, he was like a little kid in a policeman costume. Which I get it (Oh ya reel name Robin use dat) but man it was just all too cheesy for me personally. And I like Ann Hathaway but idk man, her Catwoman was too basic. They got things right but she has no real character other than the fact that she thinks rich people suck and she questions her morality at times. Idk I can’t stand the movie even though they’re things I do like about it.

  • I love how Christian Bale nailed the three sides of Bruce Wayne. He nailed Batman very well, channeling the kind of anger and pain Bruce would exhume as Batman and intimidated the normal every night criminal very effectively. While people make fun of his voice, it’s smart he’d have to change it considering how Bruce Wayne is well known and people would know his voice, it also works due to the more grounded version of the character he’s playing. He got the playboy version of Bruce Wayne down where he seems a bit full of himself, to where people see him as too self absorbed to be selfless enough to be Batman as well as being a very good philanthropist while being a billionaire, which also comes into his portrayal as the real Bruce that people like Alfred Fox, Rachel and eventually Blake and Selina see, where he’s able to actually be himself and not have a persona around those he’s close with. He’s the best Bruce Wayne/Batman to me.

Bale plays him so that you can see him struggling to be normal but the trouble is, he doesn't even KNOW what's normal. Listen to Patrick talk about liners notes of albums and such and you see just how hard he has to try to even be conversational. In contrast, Bale's Billionaire Playboy persona fits in among his peers like a glove. Yes - the Playboy is eccentric - but he blends right in with the Trust Fund Brigade with ease. I think what people key into is that both Patrick and the Playboy are putting on act to hide who they really are underneath. They both come across as "monied" and arrogant and pretentious. But I don't see the Playboy as a toned-down version of Patrick. That's my take on it but I do see why people say that.

  • Affleck, Pattinson, chris all are great actors. But only true Wayne fans knows how he speaks in public. He Barely Barely, speaks a word and in public, always have a seriousness on face with focused eyes and alert ears, he Just passes a charming smirk to people he knows.(chris really nailed that smirk though)
