So naive of you lenkart and sugar have most of their sales from online,also a coffee business is obviously gonna have more people than sugar and lenskart store as they are beverage.
70 vs 700(its more than that) Aproximetly for every customer in Lenskart they need 10 customer to make same revenue. Top of that there is difference in margin

What a world we live in, a company can't even sell their product at a genuine rate and expect to be profitable!
Simple. Sharks are looking to multiply the company from 30 crore valuation to 300 crore valuation or more. Not grow it slow. They find mistakes and hence gave the perfect feedback which is genuinely helpful to the entrepreneurs. It is not that business will not grow. Just won't grow at the rate the sharks want. It is capitalism at core and everyone is compassionately ruthless.

The thing is starbucks and ccd sell arabica coffee which is good for health and you can use this coffee seeds in 100% quantity while robusta coffee is not good for health thats why in robusta they add chikori and the coffee content becomes less and then this coffee is neutralised. Reason of price difference is that arabica is more costly than robusta.
Being born and brought up in Pune..... i believe they have become quite famous in pune and people sometimes do prefer kiosk kaffee over Starbucks

In my view useally I need a coffee or tea, but whenever I visit any cafe so they charge 250, so yeah I like to visit their store even at this price point they can Target tear 2 cities too, like many genz who can't afford CCD or Starbucks, but they wanna a good date in affordable price point, and ik that's this is a really to big Market, but maybe they need to give the cup of coffee some primium look, like ppl like me some time but coffee for flex lol

Who said that? Look at Blue Tokai and what they did, then talk... Starbucks coffee is overrated for many coffee drinkers in India, and they prefer other chains. I drink Blue Tokai coffee daily, even though I don't sit there. Most of the time, I do takeaway as I have to reach my workstation and start focusing on my work...

Kiosk sells great coffees frappes with an affordable price n it is almost a everyday go to place for many ppl I rather order it but yes it is great and I really hope they do not give equity rather enhance the way they are enhancing now

Being a coffee aficionado, feeling so full with emotions that they as well as founder are so not misleading but not being very correct in information. I feel a cup @70 they sold themselves too short. For people who like coffee, for general they could have kept their lowest sku at 99 and all other sku at 140 onwards. But m commenting as coffee lover, they know their business better than me.

From the last 12 years, I haven't seen $3 coffee at any retail coffee shop, such as Starbucks in usa .So it looks like Sharks sometimes are not good in some numbers. Also if their business model has a problem, how come they ended up with 40 franchises, and growing in 2-3 years?

First of all most of the people who go to Starbucks.. don’t actually go for coffee only but for the whole premium luxury experience that they provide with their premium location , ambiance, etc,etc . Otherwise mostly people are happy making their own coffee at their home at a fraction of cost . Coffee making doesn’t really need a lot of skill or time or money . I don’t know who all people are wasting 70rs at this kiosks coffee , which they can make same coffee at say 20 to 40rs at their own home
