Presslug 5.54mm / 0.218" GMI Hollow Point Slug DIY Dies

* 42CrMo4 German steel for the inside chamber, heat treated to ~58 HRC
* 1mm exit hole
* Hard turning on a broken HSS tap (full hardness state)
* The needle was made out of a hard chrome shaft
* The male shaft was made out of high carbon steel (not treated to extend the lifetime of the inside chamber)
* Presslug original pressing footage was used as I did not make a suitable setup for the press
* The displayed slugs are the actual slugs made from the DIY dies

    • @@user-po7tv9mj6g yes the excess is automatically cut off from the exit hole internally, yes ofcourse you can adjust the weight by setting the male shaft depth previously so that all the slug weights are the same as you set it
