Canelo on Jaime Munguia, David Benavidez and His Son
Canelo faces Jaime Munguia on Cinco de Mayo weekend in Las Vegas in what is set to be a thrilling fight with huge importance to the people of Mexico and boxing fans all over the world.
Canelo Alvarez spoke to One On One Boxing, the world's truly global boxing channel, amidst his intense camp with Eddie Reynoso where the undisputed super-middleweight world champion will be sharpening his tools and mercurial head movement in sparring, in anticipation of an all-out war with fellow Mexican, Jaime Munguia.
Jaime Munguia is undefeated and is known as a ferocious puncher with big wins over John Ryder, Liam Smith and Sergiy Derevyanchenko. With a 79% knockout ratio, Munguia carries a lot of power and his youth combined with his typically Mexican heart render him a fascinating challenger for Canelo. Oscar De La Hoya will certainly be hoping for a big performance from his fighter against the 'face of boxing'. There is undoubtedly cause for optimism; they share a recent opponent in John Ryder, whom Munguia dispatched in impressive style with Canelo failing to get Ryder out of there, picking up a win on the scorecards.
Canelo comes into the fight after some underwhelming performances against Jermell Charlo, John Ryder and Gennadiy Golovkin after his first loss since Floyd Mayweather in 2013 by way of Dmitry Bivol.

  • Con el echo de que diga que hare lo que a mi me convenga nos queda claro que la revancha con bivol seria con algunas condiciones que favorezcan al canelo, queda claro que no le conviene enfrentar a benavidez por que sabe que es un riesgo, nos queda claro que espero a que GGG se hiciera viejo , nos queda claro que antes de cerrar una pelea pondrá sus condiciones y nos queda claro que se molesto cuando le tocaron el tema de benavides y Bivol, por eso le hicieron esas preguntas al final de la entrevista .

    • @paisota Benavides is afraid of David Morell. They were supposed to fight last November, but Benavides chickened out and cancelled the fight because he was afraid of losing to David Morell. Benavides ended up fighting 35 years old Andrade. Andrade previous fight was like 2021. He was unemployed for 2 years. 🤣

  • Canelo el peleador que su carrera está o fue muy cuidada para llevarlo a donde está, el peleador que se contradice mucho con lo que dice y con lo que hace, aquí unas de sus contradiciones, Cuando peleo con Miguel Cotto, y derrotarlo tenia que enfrentar a GGG, prefirio abandonar el titulo, decia que cuando el NACIO, el MIEDO ya se habia repartido, subieron a GGG al encordado después de una pelea de Canelo, Canelo dijo ahorita mismo me vuelvo a poner los guantes, le decia a GGG que el dinero no importaba que pelearan por HONOR y GLORIA, prefirio abandonar el titulo y GGG quedo como campeon, despues de enfrentar a GGG más adelante y de darse dos buenas peleas que para mi gano GGG, una tercera ya no la queria decia que GGG ya no representaba nada para el, sale una propuesta de PVC para nfrenatr a Charlo cuando estaba bien y a David Benavidez, decide pelear con Bivol con calusulo de revancha si perdia inmediata, se hizo wey para no enfrentarlo y prefirio pelear por 3era vez con GGG un peleador ya viejo y que aun así batallo para ganarle al final, después de la pelea excusas que tenia su mano lastimada que esto que lo otro, luego para EVITAR a DAVID BENAVIDEZ, se trago su Orgullo despues de decir a nivel nacional por TV AZTECA que no pelearia con un Méxicano, pues se trago sus palabra y aun y cuando pelear con Munguia representado por Golden Boy Oscar de la Olla a quien Odia fue más su miedo y agacho la cabeza para no enfrentar a Benavidez, donde están sus declaraciones donde dijo que haría las peleas que el publico a quien le debe el dinero que ha ganado, que haría las peleas que el publico quisiera, MUCHISIMA gente le pedia que enfrente a BENAVIDEZ, su el coyon de Canelo no tiene producto de gallina y no quiere defender los titulos que por derecho otros peleadores han ganado que renunicie a los titulos la gallina de CANELO, es una verguenza el BOXEO y la corrupción de los roganismos por el dinero que les deja canelo, violan sus propias reglas ahí esta el corrupto de MAURICIO SULEIMAN y los otros pdtes de las otras asociaciones de boxeo corruptos igual
