Welcome to my new Channel, Craig Barr Fly Fishing. We will be fishing a number of venues using Flash Attack flies to show you the tactics I use to catch the fabulous trout in the Midland reservoirs and beyond.
This is the first video shot on Rutland Water in Hideaway Bay. You'll learn which tactics and which flies to use for this real hot spot on Rutland Water

  • Good luck with the channel - I found it through John Park's latest upload - I don't get to fish Rutland that often but do enjoy fishing there when I get the chance.

    • Hi Fergus...I use the Wychwood T2 WF 7# rods...for me, they are perfect..Not to pokey and not to soft either...The floating line is a wychwood Rocket Floater, and the Di5 is an Airflow line..I do have thos tackle available if you are interested. Thanks for watching..Craig

    • Watching It was almost like the outcome was inevitable and then it happened.Pretty weird in real time.Almost like a premonition unfortunately for the man on the rod.

  • Hi Craig, I asked this question on the Rutland channel but could you confirm the floating line you were using was Wychwood rocket taper expert? And what are your thoughts on it? Thanks

    • Hi Martin, yes it was a whychood expert floater. In my opinion, these lines are excellent...
