The growing beef between welterweight stars Colby Covington and Belal Muhammad has taken a very alarming turn.
Covington made a surprise appearance over the weekend as a main-event alternate for UFC 286. The No.2-ranked UFC welterweight contender has taken issue with Belal Muhammad's comments about him lately.
According to 'Remember the Name', Covington turned down a potential bout between the pair for the show. Covington has since dismissed Muhammad as little more than a 'prelim fighter'.
Muhammad was also frustrated with Covington's placement as the back-up fighter at UFC 286. While he could understand why the UFC went with 'Chaos', commentator Jon Anik was sympathetic towards 'Remember the Name's plight.

After burying Muhammad and calling him a racist for his comments about Covington's standing in the UFC, 'Chaos' went after Anik. Taking it past trash talk, Covington seemingly threatened to take Anik out over his alleged 'Remember the Name' bias.
"You're not talking Belal, you're talking the racist," Covington said. "That guy is so beyond racist, like, everything he does is racist, the guy's a freaking joke. He's saying I'm in this position because of my skin color, because I'm white? That's clear racism."
Covington then went on to absolutely bury Jon Anik over his comments about Belal Muhammad. More alarmingly, 'Chaos' issued a disturbing threat to the UFC commentator.
"And you know who's hanging out and associating with that racist? Jon Anik. Jon Anik, you know, supports that racism," 'Chaos' said. "He's [Anik] supposed to be impartial, he's supposed to have that headset, he's supposed to be an interviewer, he's supposed to remain impartial... You want to be a cheerleader? Put down the headset, pick up the pom-poms, go on the side, and be a cheerleader... And Jon Anik, dude, I don't want your kids to grow up without a dad, just realize you live in Boca [Raton], I live in Miami motherf***er, you're not too far from me, so you better shut your f***ing mouth. You poke the bear, now you get the bear comes after you."
