  • The Alabama family tree pic...I have told this story elsewhere...I was teaching Spanish, we were studying the terms for family members. I had my students make family trees and label the relationships. One of my students' actually had a circle *around* him. His mom had a child from a previous marriage who was nearly an adult when she married his dad, who also had a nearly adult child. No blood relation and neither of the parents legally adopted the other's child. A few years after my student was born, his sister and brother married each other.
