I think it’s definitely a great accomplishment to achieve what he has achieved in life. We all make mistakes in life. But when you have a chance to fix them, you should. Seems like his family/personal life is a train wreck. Yes, he has his much younger gf but I’m sure they both see this as an opportunity to advance their careers and make money. I personally think he would build better cars if he invested some of his money in some real metal crafting tools. A lot of what he builds are not road worthy cars. They can go down the road but I don’t think they are long drivers. It’s funny all the crew mentioned no longer work for him. It’s funny he was fired or left a lot of jobs. Maybe it’s because he wants to do it his way which isn’t the right way. I wonder why. On TV he was always way too aggressive with his son. Chad, teach, not yell and put down. I get that people like an underdog story. But be careful who you admire. Chad is not that guy.

Up front he's not a bad guy but he's nowhere near Ian,Starbird,Barris and especially Gene Winfield. His skills fall short and he runs around his shop like a squirrel on acid doing things over and over because he rushes through everything. His reputation is far greater than his skills. He builds on frames with 50 years of rust, cobbled construction is his claim to fame and most of his finished cars look like a childs vision of a custom car. His savior is gallons of plastic filler to hide crude metal fabrication.
