HOW TO MAKE PERFECT, SOFT, FLUFFY AND AIRY RING DOUGHNUTS 4M+ views 🔥

Measurements
- 3 1/2 cups flour not 4 1/2
- 1 tbs yeast
- 2 tbs butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 + 1/4 cups water
- 2 medium eggs
For the measurements please make sure you measure accurately. Measurement is very important, take your time to get correct & exact measurement.
Don’t miss the kneading process also, it creates a springy and elastic dough.
When frying you will notice how the donuts will be floating on top of the oil that shows how well the donuts have risen
Dough made with bread flour absorbs slightly more liquid due to the flour's higher protein level
In this case when your dough turns out to be too thick try adding a little water to reach the consistency, and when it’s too watery add little flour

  • Notice the oil at first when placing the first 4 doughnuts the oil is sizzling. Than after the all 5 doughnuts are in; the doughnuts are barely sizzling. That tells me the oil was Turned down to completely first Two minutes then flipped over but oil is not sizzling at all. So the doughnuts are frying in low heat temperature. Otherwise Two minutes would be burned. So make sure temperature is turned down immediately after test of pinch dough. Hope it helps. Practice makes perfect.

    • No. This is a perfect example of overcrowding. 2 doughnuts at a time would have been ideal. The combined temp of the room temp doughnuts dropped the temp of the oil. Those doughnuts probably came out soggy as hell. Oil has to be at a temp to bubble to cook properly. That boiling oil is basically the moisture being boiled off. That's how the food will fry. Once that temp gets low enough that the oil can't fry properly, it will soak into the food.

    • Hello, temp of oil? I've seen this question asked a few times with no reply, maybe you can help. Thanks in advance ❤️

      @oclashes6922@oclashes6922 Жыл бұрын
    • @@oclashes6922 Hello. You can use a kitchen thermometer to check if the oil for frying your donut is hot enough. The temperature of the oil should be between 370-375F or 180-190C. If you do not have a thermometer, you can dip the handle of a wooden spoon, skewer or chopstick in the oil. If the oil bubbles around the wooden spoon, then it is ready for frying. Another way to ensure that the frying oil isn't too hot, is when you're able to put a finger into the oil without getting burnt. It is important you monitor the temp of the oil before you begin frying and during the frying process.

    • What kind of oil to use & at what temperature

      @skizeksj359@skizeksj359 Жыл бұрын
    • @@skizeksj359 I would use vegetable oil, or canola oil, or sunflower oil, but don't use an olive oil because it will make your donuts untasty. You want the temperature of your oil around 325 degrees. If you want to test the oil to see if it is hot enough, dip the edge of your donut into the oil. If the oil doesn't start bubbling,frying, then your oil isn't hot enough to start frying your donuts yet. As soon as your donuts begin frying when they touch the hot oil, then the oil is hot enough. Hope this helps you. If you're unsure about the right temperature of your oil, just put one donut in to fry at first. See how well it begins to cook. You will see the dough change color, and know it's time when you should flip it over. They fry quickly, so don't walk away to do anything else....or they could burn quickly.😌

  • Finally successful donuts! But when i took the rest of the dough after making the rings, dont wanna to waste too much the dough it was not easy to roll it did not stretch well but i tried anyway you have to roll well on each side and pressing hard despite it was not easy, the 2nd package was not very well nice by cooking but still delicious, it compared to the 1st package which was nicely rise\fluffy and had no problem rolling. In the end, it was well cooked inside & delicious! On the other hand, i didn't have a nice color like on the video, mine was a little more golden-brown next time ill cook a little less for a nice color. I used all purpose flour and added 1 tbsp of baking powder. After making the dough i let it rest for 1 hour, then i spread it out, roll the dough and form the rings and let it rest for another 30mins. Then i cooked on a stove, that's when i was afraid because all the donuts i tried until then were not well cooked inside! These i cooked at low 6 or 6.5 i put my hand above the oil if i feel it's hot enough i start to put the donuts. I often look under if it starts coloring i reduce to 6, then while checking if it's beautiful i return the whole side and reduced to 5.5 or 5 but it's a bit complex you have to watch it, the 2nd package is always more difficult to cook in my opinion, you have to reduce the heat even more than that at 4 even 3 like that they will cook slowly but surely. Everything is well cooked! Will always keep this recipie

    • If the oil is very hot, it'll burn it although it's not cooked so let the oil be on average heat. I'll suggest electric cooker on 4.
