  • Thank you for the wonderful video! I love breaststroke! I have tried to keep the kicks narrow ever since I learned how to not pull my knees forward. I would very much appreciate a video on how to make sure the kicks are horizontal. When I do kick drill in streamline, I can feel that the kicks are more horizontal but bringing that over to swimming full stroke is still very challenging, especially right after the arm pull when the body rises up.

Hope more content is coming from you guys! :) I like breaststroke, but found it one of the most energy-consuming stroke. One question I have: what's your opinion about stroke rate? Is it worth to do it faster, or is it better to glide more?

    @petermolnar5182@petermolnar5182 Жыл бұрын
    • Thank you for your comment Peter! I recommend to count your arm strokes when swimming and aim to decrease amount of arm strokes. Also, it is important to remember that you do not need to glide too much :)

  • Hello and thank you! Yes, the majority of people swim breaststroke and do it absolutely wrong 😊. I am a woman who was taught in my 30-s by a professional. It was funny how my trainer shouted at me: "do not caress that water, pull it!", "feet together after the kick!" Yes, it is difficult at first to remember everything. It is like driving a car, but your brain processes it eventually.

    • I'm just figuring out breaststroke, and struggling with the kick quite a bit. It's like I do not simply generate enough power with my kick to propel myself forward. Right now, I'm working exclusively on the kick with kickboard on front, and although technique-wise I figured out the steps for a good kick, there is just not enough force out of my kicks. Maybe some specific dryland leg strengthening is needed.
