    • Just an FYI, if you see someone in a wheelchair, and think they need help, ask before you push. The wheelchair is an extension of our body, when you push us without asking it is like pushing us out of your way to get through.

  • I’m not a fan of when someone records themselves being giving or helpful but the clips of when other people record them always brightens up my day.

    @missdee5169@missdee5169 Жыл бұрын
    • I too do not like when people film themselves doing acts of kindness. It’s supposed to be random! Anonymous. Which it isn’t bc once film rolls, it’s contrived. Now it’s so & so’s video of self righteous esteem. One had the audacity to interrupt someone eating near a dumpster. So what! Hey, people find really good food tossed by grocery stores and restaurants in their dumpsters. Dumpster diving is a thing! This guy goes up to him to offer some Starbucks crap. Telling him he shouldn’t be snacking out of a garbage.The whole video was pretentious. I personally would rather rifle thru a trash bin for grub than eat Starbucks bakery items. I use that term incredibly loosely. But his intrusion into a homeless person’s day was so egotistical. The guy didn’t solicit his help. And, you cannot force help onto people that don’t want it for goodness sake! Like June Cleaver said in the movie ‘Airplane’, sucka don’t want da help, sucka don’t get da help. Her character knew jive talk. That movie would be so banned these days cuz of peoples sensitivity regarding race, gender, religion and political terms. It’s all about semantics and euphemistic language these days. Ok.

      @hoosierbaddy3052@hoosierbaddy3052 Жыл бұрын
    • @@hoosierbaddy3052 I absolutely agree with everything you said. When you film yourself the video becomes about you but the whole point of giving or helping someone is about THEM, giving aid to THEM. Now it’s no longer about you giving, it’s about you actually taking, you are using them to get praise. I also knowledge that everyone who records themselves is not in the same category because some of them record themselves to get more donations to help a person out more, they shared the person-in-need’s story and made it about THE person. Lots of channels are just dedicated to doing their whole channel like that and I understand them recording those situations. BUT the ones that record themselves buying water on a hot day to give to a homeless person...lol...no, just do your good deed and feel good about yourself, you don’t need other people to like your little video to feel good about yourself for doing a good deed.

      @missdee5169@missdee5169 Жыл бұрын
    • OMG you are soooooo right, cause 99% of KZheadrs and social media posters giving have a cam recording which is clearly so fake. If you give or show kindness from the heart you shouldnt want a reward, showing it off to the world, or to get views to earn a living which is the main reason lol. Sending good vibes your way!!!

      @Crypto_Jefe@Crypto_Jefe Жыл бұрын
    • I often film myself giving money to the homeless. Or if I see someone else filming, I'll be sure to walk over and give a homeless person some money. It's important that I'm recognized for my acts of kindness that are all about me--I mean, about others.

    • Yep , sad as it is and sadder that people fall for it but atleast some people benefit I guess . The worst are the young instagram virtue signallers who just walk up behind someone paying for their groceries and tap their card and just walk off thinking they look all mysterious and enigmatic 😂😂 It’s so painfully narcissistic .

  • The boy opening the door for the lady at dollar tree reminded me of my son. He’s almost 26 now but he use to do that kind of stuff and help with the grocery buggies for the ladies and the older gentleman since he was like 5-6 years old. He’s turned out to be such a gentleman just as I thought he would. An AMAZING husband and father as well. That was awesome the lady getting a car for her hard work. All these blessings and acts of kindness are absolutely precious and beautiful I ordered these super cute shoes that I had to save up for even though they only cost like $35 with tax and S&H but I was a single mom with 2 children one being special needs and so it was hard to get things for myself when they needed and came first. Well they finally came in and I was super excited and wore them to work the next day. My children knew I was excited about my new shoes and really loved them but didn’t know I had to save up for them. Anyways, at work I got so many compliments on them and they was so comfortable as well. That evening I picked my babies up from after school care when I got off work and we was headed home and I scooted a young lady walking with no shoes on and I immediately without a second thought turned into the parking lot nearest her and told my kids to sit tight. I ran up to her calling out and she stopped, we exchanged a few words and I learned she just got out of the local jail and had no shoes. She was walking on bigger rocks and little pebbles. I took my shoes off and told her I don’t know what size you wear but these would be better then nothing. As it turns out she wore a size 8 the exact size of me. So the shoes fit her perfectly!!! She tried to decline taking them and at that point we had already prayed so I just gave her a quick hug and walked off hollering back spot her “I love you and so does Jesus”. My kids was like mommy you just gave that lady your new shoes you love and I said yes, and now she can love them. ❤ and I drove on as we continued to talk about given. My children wasn’t new to blessing others as it’s something we did often but not quite like that. ❤️🙏🏼

    • I remember those days. I used to ride the 5 15 bus to the train. There was a group of 5 or 6 of us that would always congregate the same area of said bus for a good year and a half. Ended up going out for drinks with them after work one day, still keep in contact with two of them. It's awesome meeting good people in such a random way.

  • I remember one year that the neighbors of my parents house burned down on Christmas Eve. I've been a Star wars fan since the 70's and have collected many items over the years. Once I heard that their kids were going to go without, I got together all the new pieces I had, still in their packaging, and even some of the older stuff that still looked new. I never cared more about stuff over people, I don't care what they are like either. Plastic and metal are nothing compared to flesh and bone.

  • I'm not a religious person but I came across something yesterday that made me stop and think. It's written somewhere that the Messiah will either arrive when humanity is totally guilty or totally innocent. I think it's acts like this that stop the world from falling into an even greater state of chaos and darkness. You've got to admire the human spirit, it knows what's up. If we survive as a species, kindness will probably be the reason.
