Prof. Marandi is certainly a good debater, but think for a minute about what he’s trying to accomplish with his arguments, as a spokesman for the theocracy of the Islamic Republic. He is presumably attempting to advance their goal of a violent overthrow of the State of Israel, and its replacement with an Islamic state. If that could be accomplished at all, it would only be by a war that would kill millions of Arabs and Jews, a horror unlike anything the world has seen since WWII. If you don’t think this horror is his goal, then what do you think his goal is? If you agree this is his goal, then you need to interpret what he says in that context.
