Howitzer Caesar 8x8 donated by Denmark in the hands of Ukrainian forces? Following the Russian Ministry of Defense's claim that it intercepted a Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missile on August 29, a new development emerged on September 1. A photograph appeared on the Russian social media platform 'VK,' offering proof that the Russian military had effectively disabled the first Ukrainian CAESAR 155mm 8x8 self-propelled howitzer gifted by Denmark.

This war is an absolute success...for the weapon industry. Politicians are buying weapons like candy.
The Caesar has a firing range of 42km (26miles) or 52 (31) with a full bore shell --- the Russian 2S33 Msta-SM2 has a range of standard 40 (25) and 80 (50) with rocket-assisted shells. 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV has a range of 80km (50) with rocket-assisted rounds 40(25) with standard. So, why the assumption that the Ukrainian Caesar howitzer has better range than ANY Russian howitzer, and yet it doesn't...???
Current Ceasar and other NATO standard 155mm platforms have better accuracy, the 6x6 Ceasar had and think still holds the highest indirect artillery kill ration in Ukraine.

I love we in denmark help as much as we can .. but i feel its kinda stupid we almost donate everything we got .. and denmark dont use enough money on military so who knows how long before we will get new equipment.. and the fact a really small country like denmark donate so much of what we got just fells kinda stupid when the big boys like usa dont support with more i fell like usa could donate more then 31 m1a1 abrams they have like 5000 in operation
Price of one Caesar = 5 million Euros saying nothing of the ammunitions.
And one Kilo class sub is circa $250million not a bad trade eh? Not to forget the Moskva and other ship configurations.

The Prime Minister has her eyes firmly set on the post as head of NATO, even though she officially denies it. One could see at her body language and facial mimic, she was disappointed when Stoltenberg got another extension. So far the Danish donations are larger than Italy, Spain and France combined.
@@Kiilerich66But still I'm pretty sure the prime minister doesn't have the enough political power to enforce all these donations without the consent of the Parlament and the public opinion. There must be some reason that makes the danish people and parliament so eager on paying a lot to support Ukraine.

There are none of the traditional media whom are asking the "wrong" questions, they are all just doing propaganda for supporting Ukraine. They are basically just echoing New York Times, Washington Post and CNN, unless there is a direct conflict between the US and EU. EU decided to ban all Russian news sources, and even though it's against the Danish constitution the Danish government followed the decree (government censorship is illegal) and no one in the opposition have complained. (I know several citizens have pressed charges, but it will take many years for it to go through the court system) Regarding the parliamentary situation; we now have a rare majority government (only happened 5 times since WW2), so the three parties who runs the government, can do as they please and they have done a lot of unpopular things, so they will definitely not be able to continue after next election.
Russia is the opposite of everything Denmark stands for. If not now in this situation, when?

Both sides use destroyed equipment as an argument. These machines are relatively cheap. Lives are expensive, and destroyed infrastructure, and disruptions to the economy.

Crazy that Russia seems to celebrate knocking out one artillery piece, while it loses S400 batteries every few days, their high speed bombers, and an entire Battalion. Grim days for Russia celebrating this, while their forces retreat across the entire front
