6 healthy puppies. 4 males and 2 females. I was alone, prepared for the worst. Everything was ready for her birth. Phone in my hand to call the vet. The vet didn't come yet because it could take hours. The first pup came with the paws first and the last with the head. I had to help because the bag he was in was stuck around his neck. Loulou is a born mother she did everything needed. Beautiful to see. It was no longer necessary for the vet to come, it went so well and if there is anything she will be there in 5 minutes. I can't believe that Loulou brought 6 healthy puppies into this world, so proud. Everything is going so well, also with Loulou, she is very slim now and she still gets food 4 times a day. Be prepared for puppy spam in the coming period. We are in love. Xxx Eveline

@@zorubark I think because there is not a moment to rest. Her body and mind were engaged in giving birth, providing nourishment, actively minding the babies. And it was a long day for her! They didn't come in rapid succession, but over, 12 hours?! 😳 She looked totally spent after baby #5 and she still had one more coming. Labor indeed!
This might sound stupid but dogs are like babies themselves to us so it's weird thinking of them as parents and giving birth.

Look up litter syndrome. It can be dangerous to keep littermates together.
Littermate syndrome is when two puppies from the same litter are raised in the same home and develop a bond with each other. This early bond to one another can cause dog on dog aggression in the future and prevent the puppies from bonding to you
It’s actually a bad idea to do that because of littermate syndrome which can cause them all to hate each other and fight when they’re older and raised together. Maybe rescue puppies from different litters and have a ragtag group of “siblings”!! That would be cute!!

That brought back so many memories of my grandparents dachshunds giving birth and all the little whining puppies. It didn’t look like this was Loulou’s first time giving birth, she looked like she had it all under control!

So this just show up in my recommendation just to make me cry and smile at the same time, cause she reminds me of my little Chiki, who died 7 yrs ago by an accident. She's also a dachshund. It still makes me sad everytime i remember her. It feels like losing your own child. This cute Loulou is very strong to have 6 puppies. You're a great momma dog.

I have Yorkshire that I rescued three weeks ago. It was sad cause owners wanted to put her in shelter, and I asked them if I can have her....they didn't hesitate to give to me advising me she was pregnant. They could not tell me about the father . We were expecting like 3 or 5 max. But Bella had 7 healthy puppies in 5 hours last night! We think father is a dachshund, we can't tell, but they look just like these puppies. I feel so blessed I rescued Bella, she is very brave, loving and super caring with her babies.... Our puppies are so cute! Question,Is it any test that can tell me Which breed the father is?
