It was. Actually there is the original version from this video that wasn't enhanced. She struggle a bit at some low notes and her breath is more audible. Still sounds beautiful tho.

유니크한 음색을 선호해서 인지 몰라도 요즘 듣는 노래들 대부분이 튀는 경우가 많음. 자극적인 음식같아 좋아하지만 계속 들을수는 없었음 그에 비해 웬드의 노래는 듣기에 너무 편안하네요. 계속 들어도 질리지가 않네요.

That little tiny exhale right after the last note of the song, you can literally see her snap out of the little world she’s in when she sings. It’s like she exhaled, blinked and her eyes shifted kinda.. back to reality. This song is a moment and deserves more recognition!

I remember when SHINee Jonghyun said “Singers are story-tellers.” That what made Wendy so different and special. Not also to mention the vocal range and control she has! I’m proud of Wendy. This is such a difficult & intricate song tbh and so is her other title track 'When this Rain stops.' I wasn't even the one performing it but I actually ran out of breath just watching her perform live. Wendy, you are just out of this world.
In the studio version, the high notes sound like they're hard to hit for her and require effort. But when she sings it live, it sounds like she didn't even have to put effort to hit them because they're just right there and easy to hit.

look at how relaxed her jaw placement. It just shows how easy this is for her Meanwhile as a singer, it's hard af for me to alternate between the notes. Wendy just made switches here and there without even struggling (she just sounded shaky a bit but it's understandable). She actually hit the notes perfectly despite being shaky and never out of tune. The last part where she supposed to sing that high, she's very clever to change it into her mixed register because she knows if she's singing in full chest voice it'd be much more unstable. A VERY GENIUS CHOICE!

Wendy has such a great voice but now let's talk abt her breathing technique. Am I the only one who thinks that she has a really good breathing technique?
Her technique has always been top notch. I really love her breathing and control and the cadence to how she enunciates. I can't explain it but one example is at the beginning of Taste and In & Out. Listen to how Seulgi sings to start In & Out and how Wendy comes in after her. On Taste when she sings the prechorous at the beginning it almost sounds like she is rapping, but not really. She does this in Why Can't You Love Me as well. A lot of singers just sing like they are reading, but Wendy puts so much emotion and riffs and runs at times to express the lyrics. I can't explain it but Wendy is one of my favorite singers of all-time and I've been on Earth 5 decades and have heard plenty of singers.
You will easily fall inlove with Wendy’s voice. Thats how good she is!
