My family is not Muslim and I took my shahadah in prison, I’m also a black man in America so we know how that goes!! But I’m often not received in the best way. But my IMAN is strong and I felt a yearning to have this type of love and companionship from my brothers because I love the Muslims for the sake of Allah. Sa’ad - my bug brother / first companion to fire the arrow and my brother name sa’ad told me this back home in Ethiopia when I was 5 and still remember it till this day. Missed my childhood and Islam stories 😢❤

Whenever I’m so weak in my religion, I remember this great man and his last conversation with our beloved prophet, before leaving Madinah.
