  • Great Video. I bought another oil filled radiator couple months ago, but a 2 kw model (you can get them up to 2.5kw here in the UK. I did notice that the heater has a 2 prong plug. This would bother me a little, as there's no ground in case of an electrical fault. The only time these heaters smell is when you plug them in for the first time. They're cheap to run .Electric here is about 20 cents PER KWH. Thanks for the video!

    • That's interesting. I live in the U.S. and the maximum here for heaters is 1500 watts. I've never seen anything higher. You are very right about the lack of a ground prong, giving that it is a metal construction. Additionally, the U.K. uses 220 volt grid, which is twice as dangerous as the American counterpart. Here where I live the KWH cost 12 cents (US dollar cents), but our winter is not so harsh so we don't think about cost too much where I live (in the south).

  • I have to laugh at the difference between the way men and women unbox and set up. Men just man handle jump right in. I took 5 min just to make sure it was okay to put on side to attach wheels. Men: “Let’s crank it up”….Women: Let’s set on low to start. Not saying one is better than the other, I just always find the difference funny. Anyway, I actually logged on to see if anyone had tried the “setting for optimal comfort”? It says when room temp is comfortable, turn the thermostat control knob counter clockwise till unit turns off and then the heater will come back on automatically. Does this work? I’m using this in a cold bathroom to prevent frozen pipes. I don’t want to try this unless I know the heater will come back on, so my pipes don’t freeze. Thanks.

      @ETPCYT@ETPCYT4 ай бұрын
    • @@ETPCYTso yours doesn’t have an “optimal heat setting”? There is a paragraph in my instructions that implies once the temperature is comfortable then to turn the top knob, the temp knob, counter clockwise till it stops and it will somehow automatically turn back on intermittently to keep the temperature at the setting you want. It says it will shut off intermittently to save energy. Does yours do this?

      @AMYforHIM@AMYforHIM4 ай бұрын

    • I am sorry, SUSAN, I haven't gotten around to it yet.. but for the record it works great. It is quiet and does not have an odor. My son uses it to heat his bedroom and it does a good job of heating.. The outside gets hot but not so hot that it will burn instantly. I believe these are quite efficient too.. I hope this helps.. I think it's a great product :)
