Tokyo Ghoul has by far the most depressing soundtracks from all of anime. It doesn't make you feel sad , it makes you feel empty , which is a feeling that ive never got from a melody/ost.

Although I am VERY disappointed with the adaptation of TG manga by Studio Pierrot. I still love the OST of the anime series. It is so damn beautiful. Reading the manga while listening to this is pure bliss.
If only Studio Wit and I.G. made the crisp animation in TG as they did with AOT...it would do honor to these awesome OST tracks.

what did the anime change that was better in the anime? There were a few things about the anime that I didn't really like that much and I've been thinking of reading the manga
@@chunkymonkeygaming (old comment but I thought I could help) the manga has a lot more content in it to be straight forward, I haven't finished the manga yet but from what i've seen a lot of the interactions in the manga have more "meat" to them and some scenes where cut and changed from the anime as well. I've heard that season 2 of the anime changed so much from the manga that its practically a alternate universe from it though I haven't read that far into it yet so don't take my word on it.

I love this list. This has been one of my favorites. Ever since I got into Tokyo Ghoul I have just been obsessive over it. I want to crack my knuckles, or like have one of the red roses. This anime has made me cry, and it'll be one of the only anime's that i'm going to buy the manga for. Even though I know it's free online I still want to get it. I /will/ memorize unravel in Japanese, and it will honestly be one of the only ones I memorized. Thank you Andreea for putting it together.

The music really made some scenes excruciatingly sad. Like, the Acoustic version of Unravel at the very end of the second season...Jesus Christ. The tears wouldn't stop.

Unravel is my favorite... i don't understand Japanese but, the lyrics always gives me chills. this is a beautiful composition... i can completely feel the pain and the sorrow. :')

this is one of the best things the anime adaptation did even tho it wasn't exactly up to par with the manga's storyline they managed to make some beautiful music for the series.

Unravel this, Unravel that, my god... it's SO SAD that people ahs only that song stucked to their asses when a Musician of the level of TK has the talent to make the musical pieces so complex or so simple but magnificent either way. White Silence is from his first single at 2011 and just now it's getting attention... It's sad that TK is just now getting attention and even more sad that fanboys just rely at him or know him as "the unravel singer/ the kaneki look like musician"... Just so sad that songs like Abnormal Trick or Film a Moment are such a craft on their own will and would be forgotten while everyone is like "omg, unravel, so amazing!" EDIT : the White Silence Version listed here sounds really weird, doesn't sound nothing like the original, and NO, you won't find a good version of it on KZhead, i tried, but MAKE YOU A FAVOR and listen to the original version on Flowering or just on the single "Film a moment" or go further and cry like a baby listening to it at his dvd live "Killing you Softly". i dare you to hold tears on that acoustic version.
