Hey Guys! I survived 100 days! And you can too!
What if I told you that the day count in Don’t Starve/Together was pretty much completely meaningless? 100? Pfft. Try 10,000.
Now, 10,000 days is a lot of time. Each day in Don’t Starve is 8 minutes, which totals to almost 2 months of non-stop playing the game. This is 2 months excluding sleeping, eating, showering, or anything else in real life. Now, I probably went 2 months without doing any of these essential tasks during THE VIRUS:tm: but since the world’s moved on from that, it’s gonna prove to be a bit trickier.
The real enemy here wouldn’t be difficulty, or in-game challenge - it would be the omniscient Lovecraftian beast known as BOREDOM. Hell, I get bored after about 100 in game days, god forbid 10,000.
So, in order to find a way to survive 10k days, the secret doesn’t lie in skill, or knowledge of the game - it requires devising a way to survive forever completely effortlessly. Without so much as a single keystroke (once our grand plans is set up, at least). It requires reaching a point where you can exist in the game with absolutely no input from the real world… And leaving your PC on for 2 months straight. Ignoring the power bill ramifications of that decision, how would one go about making themselves immortal in DST? Of course, we’re talking completely legitimately. No console commands, save file editing, mods, or anything like that. Just via mechanics, abilities, and characters present in the vanilla game. This would involve finding ways to circumvent hunger drain, temperature damage, attacks from the night monster, Charlie, intermittent hound attacks, and more - all of them necessary obstacles to overcome in order to survive forever.

As a 40 year old just getting into Don't Starve (Together), I've found that most DST channels are focused on a younger audience. I really liked that high-level analysis you brought to bear on the game. Your editing and filming techniques are marvelous as well. I am blown away by channels like yours. Great video! Small correction at 9:20 you are showing that you need a statue wall to defend against hound attacks, but hounds don't spawn when you're on a boat. Also, with the boat method as you are showing it, it might be possible to die to a grass gator making a wave and pushing the boat out of the range of the tree, this can be solved by planting your own above average tree in shallow ocean. (I recommend the space between Lunar Island and the mainland) Also, make sure that you are building this setup far away from Moon Quay for obvious reasons.

I had been wondering for some time now how long you could survive in the game while being afk. I never thought it to be possible to survive indefinetly while afk. I always thought that a character such as Warly wearing a funcap and a hunger belt during winter would survive the longest.
Warly has a higher hunger drain so wouldn't be the best choice for this despite his big stomach. (Wurt with a king having an even bigger stomach) Though fun fact: WX-78 with three gastrogain circuits, a funcap and a belt of hunger loses only one carrot of hunger per winter

there are, but nothing should be killing the hounds so they won't explode
Hound waves indeed can't trigger when you're at sea so you'll get no hounds from sitting on a boat (they can follow you onto the sea if they've already triggered) Freddo's right too though

A cheaper method is setting up a macro with wanda on the same boat that cycles 3 ageless watches while wearing a crown Its not pure afk but most people have a keyboard or a mouse that has at least one macro slot

How is that supposed to cover starvation? If you eat and mind temperature what even is the advantage of being Wanda? Wanda can't heal while starving/taking temperature damage.
Hunger dmg would stop the clocks from ticking up would it not
