@lizperez48265 жыл бұрын

@dhivyankrish24286 жыл бұрын
I haven't made a video that covers the exact mechanism used to make the table in the Alice in Wonderland book. In essence it's a Right Angle V-Fold (Tutorial 2) raising a Parallelogram (There is an example of this configuration at 13.38 in Tutorial 5.) The top is then added using 45 degree folds built into the corners that close as the base closes. These are explained in Tutorial 23, though I don't show them being used in this context. To make the table top really solid there needs to be a "pillar" underneath pushing up the table top.A much easier way to make a satisfactory table would be to use a Floating Plane (Tutorial 12) and then pieces can be made to stand up on top of the table using Slots (tutorial 11). Another alternative would be to use the Box mechanism (Tutorial 14).

I think it's made with an array of Parallelograms (explained in Tutorial 5), the structure looks a bit wobbly so you could make it more stable with a pair of small 45 degree folds (Tutorial 23). The flap mechanism is the first type of flap explained in Tutorial 26. I hope this helps.

What paper do you use for make that pop up books?
@hellomegand97784 жыл бұрын
The best card for making pop-ups needs to be rigid and thin. In the videos I use 120 gsm (photo copy card). A thicker card - up to 240 gsm is good but will need to be scored before folding. The bigger the pop-up the stronger the card needs to be - for small designs almost any paper will work.
