Wing said on the jinjo crew official channel about this match. He said many of his friends(Korean bboys) lose against Issei so he has to win for some kind of revenge. I think that brought more flavor in this match.
Yeah he used all his signature moves here. He didn't do as well in the final and he didn't repeat his signature moves.

Dude even after 2 years this is still holds up as one of the best battles in red bull bc one history. That first round where issei does a 90 on music, CRAZY!!! and then wing’s response with a backflip variation into a 2000 ON music. INSANE!!! This practically was like the finals 🤯

Probably the BEST battle you will ever find on youtube. Punch for Punch, Clean, Great Moves, nice build up, comical and fun, perfect music. This battle was like a final itself. Proof, nobody talks about Menno! Wing was robbed that year.

This was the quarter final. He still won the semi-final round, so he still had lots left. He crashed in the finals a bit which is understandable after going so many rounds....

I feel like Issei was saving moves for the final. A ton of new moves I saw from Issei this year weren't performed in this battle. Definitely not his best performance, especially contrasted against Wing who did all his signatures.
For sure man, he still had his double barrel mill combo as well as his 1990 hand wave.
He even had his baby freeze leg switch to airflare combo as well as his Icy Ice. Was really hoping he could win another title though :(. Hope he gets into bc one 2019 and wins it

Wing is still a very good bboy. Maybe he does not have enough moves to make it to the top nowadays, but he is experienced and if ANYONE meets him in the 1st or 2nd leg and underestimates him just a little, or saves his moves - then Wing will win. I remember Wing winning over Menno in 2015 Silverback EASILY cause they faced early in the competition. So I believe its all Issei's fault for losing this battle. He should have done way better, esp. in rounds 2 and 3 when he saw that Wing is popping all his better signature moves. One more thing: this Issei's "gangster" outfit... i don't like it at all, mby its the same with the judges?

It's one of Wing's signature moves. It's done through gaining momentum. If you watch Lilou vs Hong 10 2005, you'll see Lilou throw his own signature using the same physics in his first set.

I’m a big issei fan, however I noticed that part of his strategy is to stand as close to the center of the floor as he can when it’s his opponents turn, which I can’t condone. It’s like he wants to crowd their space.
