ABOUT FORT SOLIS:
Responding to an unusual alarm call from a remote mining base, Jack arrives at the dark and desolate Fort Solis. With storm warnings imminent, he heads inside to make desperate contact.
As the night grows longer, events escalate, spiral out of control and the mystery of what happened to the crew begins to reveal itself. The storms is approaching, limiting Jack’s escape as he looks to hold out until morning arrives.

Considering the game is supposed to be 4-6 hours, I would imagine we would get a playthrough. This video is essentially 1/4 of the game already.
@@grimshwiz It's 4 1/2 hrs of walking and bantering and maybe some gameplay sprinkled in. A speed run would still be roughly 4 1/2 hrs long!

this is an awesome example of how to build up not only a story, but the characters surrounding it.
I like how we get to hear the banter between the two characters through out the play. Feels like playing with company. It's also why I like watching gameplays where Fisk and Fooster play together.

I think this might be the most immersive playthrough that I've watched. Kept my full attention from start to finish.. While I was supposed to be working.

This should have been a movie or show. I'll be passing on this because of the stupid QTEs. QTEs are lazy and lack creativity. That said, I'll still watch videos of it because the story is at least good. Not gonna spend my money on it though.

this game has the suspense of dead space, the immersion and ambiance of callisto protocol, and the exploration/acting of alien isolation. this game looks so good! hope to see more of it!!

The facial motion capture on the characters especially on Wyatt's video logs is insane. So lifelike!
For Wyatt the actor and team seemed to do a lot with head and shoulder movements to support the expression of emotion. Compare that to how wooden Azim looks in the found video log clips. I’m not sure the facial capture was so much better but the overall effect is drastically different.
I imagine Jack walking around the station after too much beer and screaming for Lenny.

This looks spectacular. I am hooked already. The voice acting is fantastic, the environment is cool as hell, and visuals in UE5 are so impressive. When he opened the lock and Helen fell out, I actually screamed - the tension build up was perfect! I can't wait to see more!!
The voice acting and animation of the characters is soooooo good, like....very amazing. Whoever did Wyatt, both the va and the animator really knocked it out of the park. The vas for the two main characters are also incredible, their banter is great.
I am totally in love with the graphics and mechanics of this game! This looks absolutely next level!!!

The play on the famous wrestler names, like The Undertaker (the overgiver 🤣🤣🤣🤣) absolutely sent me 😅 and the dynamic between jess and jack is excellent. Please play more of this!

Chapter 1 was way better than i thought, that slow tension grow, the little hints they give you. Man, wanna see you go for the full story uncut. I am just sad, why I found your channel just a few weeks ago. Your Horror and SCP content is sooo catching to watch ;)

@@broadway17 I think animations have a little to do with it though, a lot of the time it seems even if something is mocapped it still ends up looking lifeless because some parts of the mocap aren't included in the animation.

It's not ready. Global illumination causes blotchy bright patches on the shadows and it's so distracting and unbearable.

Definitely need a full playthrough of this once you’re allowed. Space, horror and a story driven cinematic experience is my favourite combination. This looks great, sounds amazing, has an awesome cast and Fooster at the helm. Could this get any better? Nope.
One of my favourite things about these types of games is hearing the joy in Fooster's voice when he's admiring all the scenery and stuff 🥺🥰 Ngl I'd be too scared to go to Mars and there's so much cool stuff on Earth that I want to see too

It really antagonises me with games like this, where the protagonist is communicating over a radio, and says stuff like "That's one hell of a nose bleed" or witters on for three minutes about stuff when finding a key card, without actually telling the person on the other end of the radio "I found a key card." Can you imagine being on the other end of that radio? Having zero idea what the hell is going on?
Definitely playthrough worthy ! The voice acting is incredible, i've never seen a game that conveyed panic as good as this one, I could feel the main character's panic and his friend's incomprehension

That moment when you were heading to the surgery room had me freaking out, and when I spotted the killer, I was like "oh hell naw!!" Creepy, but really interesting. Can't wait to see more playthroughs of this from you.
What actually freaked me out was looking at the TERRIBLE lighting when the MC takes the blood covered scalpel, I thought my pc was dying.
This looks like a decent game to watch out for. Love how inquisitive you get on these.

This is so cool and so spooky - I saw your later uploads and came back to see the beginning. It's giving me vibes similar to the early part of "Prey" in some places but I quite like it.

This was definitely a slow burn. Essentially a walking sim for the first chapter but definitely has potential. Awesome job Fooster.
A lot like Doom 2016... the whole first bit is just walking to find the missing scientist. It's only when you find them that everything goes crazy. But that whole first bit walking is super atmospheric, full of ambient sound and lighting that sets the tone. Loving how Fort Solis is looking and doing the same.

You are the only one i can sit thru and watch these lengthy videos because you are you. Your entire SCUM series was awesome! You're fun as hell! If you want to explore alien terrain in rovers, on foot, or in a ship, have you tried Star Citizen? Its in active development, but very immersive and lots to do and learn as a new player. Its survival in a space simulator. Be happy to connect with you if you wish, and explain more.
