I missed a chance to chat about Digimon live?! I'm kicking and screaming rn 😭😭😭. I have to rewatch but, 4th gen (The one after Tamers) is what messed everything up. The hyped up open ending of Tamers into w/e the fuck that was was a rude and offensive insult. It cost them nearly 20 years to start gaining traction again. But as much as I want them to be, Idk if they will ever be competitive with "you-know-who" ever again. I simply don't see enough people talking about it... But with that said. It has been getting better again in recent Gens. The ghost story Digimon Gen was particularly unique and interesting. As well as the 1st Gen's time skipped-reboot was exciting. Renamon was also one of my fav's. I swear they were setting up a spin-off for her she and Rika but with a focus on Rena. [But don't get it confused. The rest of the Tamers were equally interesting as well).
I missed it too! :( I wasn't into the anime as much, but I played the original Digimon World so much when I was like ~11 years old. I also really enjoyed Digimon World: Next Order and Digimon Story: Cybersleuth. As for my favourite Digimon, I think that'd be Mastemon.
