    • Important to find a balance also. Make sure you also find time to be kind to yourself as otherwise the rest of it is pointless. Don’t work away if you don’t feel the benefits of it. By all means, strive for a purpose but don’t get sucked into the mentality that you have to work tirelessly your whole life - it depends how steep your ambitions are but it is a mentality that I have seen wreck a lot of people.

  • This guy has my utmost respect. I was so sad to see Khabib leave and I thought that was it for any Muslim guy to be able to compete against what he had done for the sport but Kamaru is a breath of fresh air. Shear determination and will power, only people who have a certain discipline to their work and life can relate to what he is basically sayin, outworking your peers etc. Reminds me a lot of The Rock when he came to WWE. Salute !

  • I think I speak for everyone when I say how happy I was watching this episode and I couldn't stop smiling throughout. The questions you asked were amazing and the answers and stories you were able to get from Kamaru was equally as amazing as well. I've been a fan of the podcast for a long time now and have said that your one of the best podcasters. This has definitely solidified that. And I think there was a lot of mutual respect between the both of you as well. You respected him as a champion and he respected you as a podcaster. The fact he stayed and did an interview for 3 hours is remarkable. Huge credit to you Brian and also huge credit to Kamaru for allowing us to delve into his back story and journey 👏👏

  • I've been watching Kamaru since his debut , and damn , I'm really proud of where he has come now. This was a great podcast. Only blemish was saying that Colby beats prime GSP. GSP has the highest fight IQ , smartest training regimen and insane mindset. Greatest jab in the sport , ragdolls elite wrestlers. I have been watching MMA since I was 8 , and he is the greatest the sport has ever seen , period. GSP would be Kamaru's greatest ever challenge , and I wouldn't put it past either of them to beat the other.
