    • It's possibly the most important 'subject' to learn beyond the three R's, yet seems to be one of the least taught thing. I don't even know where I learned it, since was not something really on the curriculum in school ( back 30+ years ago, before www , deepfakes, 'ai' generated articles). Most of where I actually cultivated it, came from comedians like George Carlin or Bill Hicks. I seriously think a school class based around stuff like 'George Carlin on Advertising' would be more beneficial, than knowing where every country is on a globe, or what year the Battle of Hastings happened.

I quit TV and never signed up for cable, but use free KZhead. Is it perfect? It's as good as everything else, at essentially zero cost. Try, then you can cut the cable and internet BS yourself.

While I never did anything really wrong, I wasn't perfect. Throwing rocks at each other (kids!) I cracked a windshield. When Dad asked me if I did do it, I told the truth (or fear the belt!) and I had to work to pay it back. I screwed up and had to work to make it right. No trophy in that but a great life lesson.

    • If we truly have a consumer-driven economy, the infrastructure will be built, and the truth is, we do charge overnight mostly. It’s long trips that are very concerning. It’s a safety issue. Gov has to step in and hold electrify America accountable for their lack of upkeep and d ease of use.

They want you to think the government is against you. But in reality you have the power to vote for your government. You have no vote in corporations. Corporations are not democracies. Corporations are like dictatorships. They're controlled by one or very few people called a board of directors. Why are you against the only institution where you _do_ have democracy? The crisis of climate change is a fact. EVs help to mitigate that. So promoting EVs is a good thing regardless of whether you like the government or not.

    • I know we have to get to electric vehicles eventually, but there are quite a few things about them that need to be improved/perfected before they totally take over. If they have an $80000 price tag, I couldn't own one. And if it costs $10000 to replace the batteries after 5 years, that's another big expense. They need to make these cars affordable, safer (especially preventing battery explosions), faster charging, longer ranging, and be able to function as completely in sub-zero weather as they would in the summer. I worry that since I'm the kind of person who buys the $2500 specials off the used car lots to get me around town, that someday I'll be disenfranchised from driving because I can't afford a car to drive.
