and what I love about Jimin is that he doesn't try to show off any of his skills. He's so humble and it makes people believe he's harmless when he can kick you into tomorrow
being humble is strongly taught in martial arts, and in TaiKwonDo it is a strong principle that unless you are in a competition or an exibition you do not show off.

I'm posting this Jimin Bio for anyone who doesn't have all the accurate info : ❤️JIMIN, at age 11-12 started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy. Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!! So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey! JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!! JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! He focuses on every detail! Known for his work ethics and being a perfectionist to a fault, spending hours in the practice room, will study every move, even focusing on hands to fingertips. Even his facial expressions, or the look in his eyes! Every single detail he focuses on. Jimin tends to take in the music and interprets all the emotion & feelings, whatever it's trying to convey through his body movements as well as his vocals. JIMIN has won the prestigious titles for 2 yrs in a row for both KING OF KPOP, as well as also winning BEST TOP #1 DANCER IN KPOP, 2 yrs in a row, as well!! Jimin is also referred to as "Rookie's Bible" because all rookie idols, try to emulate & study every move he makes, trying to learn from him! Aside from all that Jimin has won other countless award, broken many records. His 5 solos have broken charting records worldwide, as well as being top seller, plus most listened to. Profound and impressive writing. Please pardon me for this one. J-Hope is the only main dancer that's why only him being called as dance team leader. Jimin is a lead dancer together with Jungkook. The responsibilities of these two roles are different. However, the title doesn't diminish the factual evidence of Jimin's exemplary abilities and performances as you've clearly and assertively shown. ♡ Edit 1 - I choose to add to this comment rather than deleting or just fix the error. I misunderstood about the positions and really did embarrass myself as someone say. I learned this the information some times ago and didn't aware that it might be updated. I apologize for my mistake that misinformed some ARMYs who read this earlier than this edit. However, I have two points to make regarding the consequence of my mistake. Point 1 - Please be kind to fellow fans as BTS has been kind to you. Pleople do make mistakes, and I own mine. If the errors make you frustrate, just say that you are. But cursing and using the kind of language that press people down is really hurtful and not constructive. Now that I have a direct experience of being lashed out at, I begin to understand why some people said that they leave the fandom because it's too toxic for them. Correct me when I'm wrong. Educate me when I'm fooled. But harsh language and looking-down undertones are unnecessary and irrelevant, neither for informing and correcting someone nor for proving how passionately you love any members. Point 2 - Please don't be quick to judge. I'm not a solo Hobi stan. My bias isn't even Hobi. I misunderstood? Yes. I press Jimin to raise Hobi? HELL NO! Eventhough I made an honest mistake, I did try my best to be very careful about the word choice. I'm sad that my writing couldn't covey my sincerity of admiration I have for Jimin to some readers but triggered them instead. You might have been through a lot of shit in the past and the pain might still be there. I'm really sorry for that. But having to put up with solo stan in the past doesn't give anyone rights to quickly and wrongly accuse others as solo stan or having any kind of that behavior. This is not the first time I experience this false accusation and you know what, It doesn't hurt a tiny bit less than the last one. Because I stan OT7. All the news and official media especially in Korea are also addressing Jimin as BTS main dancer and lead vocalist of BTS in their reports. When they received the cultural merit award from the government in 2018, he was also addressed as the main dancer and lead vocalist. Who do you think the one that verifying that info? Sure it’s bighit. Why would they give false info to the government. Just accept the fact that BTS has two main dancers. It’s common in kpop group to have more than 1 main dancer in a group.

I always feel like I always learn something new about the boys every day haha. My dad is a third degree black belt in American Kenpo so I grew up around a lot of martial arts so this really gives me a deeper love for Jimin--if that is even possible haha! This is so crazy........ but the fact that Jimin is this coordinated and talented yet he still falls out of almost every chair he sits on SENDS ME. (He's taken so many tumbles out of chairs there is literally compilation videos--he is so great haha!)

I really wish more people would not just dismiss Jimin as some throwaway cutie-doll and take his incredible muti-talents more seriously. BTW that segment on Kendo actually features JIMIN ok? Yup THAT is Jimin wielding the bamboo sword (it was feature in BTS World). Yes not only is Jimin an amazing athlete, he is one hell of a martial artist (8 yr Kendo veteran, a Black Belt in Taekwondo, well versed in Hapkido, Chinese Martial Arts and many others). FYI Jimin is also super intelligent, he’s brilliant at math & science, was part of robot building club, was the class valedictorian, all while being a dancer, singer, lyricist, composer. In terms of Emotional Intelligence, Jimin's is OFF the Charts! Jiminie is unreal. And it has been noted like in this video that Jimin's Martial Arts training, background, skills AND discipline have informed and made him the BRILLIANT Phenomenal Dancer he is today. As I've mentioned before, many dancers/dance experts say Jimin (because of his discipline & skills) is in a class of his own above the rest because he is able to reconcile his modern/ contemporary dance training with his BTS/Hip-Hop training which are antithetical, and extremely difficult to do! Ballet is about stillness, while K-pop dance is about movement, and since the genres of dance are different, there is something incompatible! THAT is why he is the standard bearer for many Idols/Artists. Jimin's dedication to his craft is the stuff of LEGENDS! Jimin is truly a Consummate Professional, Phenomenal Performer & Stage Genius and this video proves it! I LOVED your reaction! Yes I am Jimin Biased - but can you blame me?
When I found out this mans has background in martial arts...I wasn't surprised! His experience with that mixed with dance...no wonder he is so disciplined and has such amazing body control! it comes out sometimes esp in vlives with all the members. You will see snippets of it, saw one when it seems like he knows how the whole vlive should run and was instructing the staff to arrrange something at the back but through his eyes.

Jimin is leterally..... A Force Of Nature. I noticed early on in some of the BTS videos that he was using what looked to me like some form of Martial Arts. Now I know that is indeed true. He appears to me to be a world class dancer that uses techniques from Modern Dance, Martial Arts, Ballet and Gymnastics. I personally have never witnessed anyone this talented as a dancer.

The reason why Jimin was my bias, aside from his amazing talents, was because even when I was a newbie army I felt and saw his duality. Like, he can be our mochi but when he performs, he commands the stage. And most of all, we wouldn't know these things about him coming from him. He is so humble, he wouldn't brag about it.
