EASY PALABOK
¼ cup cooking oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 medium red onion, chopped
1 tablespoon atsuete power
¼ cup patis puro, plus additional as needed
½ cup tinapa flakes
4 cups shrimp stock
¼ cup cornstarch diluted in 1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt and pepper, to taste
For garnish:
Hard boiled eggs, chicharron,
sauteed shrimps, spring onions, calamansi

Hi from Texas!! I was introduced to Palabok when a Jollibee opened up in Dallas which is about 2 hours away! My husband is Filipino and he introduced me to this dish and I fell in LOVE. We have drove there twice in the last year just to get Palabok. I'm going to ask my mother-in-law and Lola to make some for me for the next time we visit, but really wanted to see if I could make my own! Great tutorial!

Nice gawin ko yan! Favorite ko ang palabok since childhood 🥰 If I may add, ang difference ng pansit palabok at pansit malabon ay di lang ang noodles kundi, ang noodles ng pansit malabon ay hinahalo n sa sauce sa kawali pa lamang. Sa pansit palabok, sa ibabaw ng noodles inilalagay ang sauce.
