360 Video: Inside Boeing’s Starliner Capsule | Mach | NBC News
5 years later... 😔
dunno - spacex Dragon 2 looks WAY more 21st century and a lot more spacious. Why does this look so jaded?
reliability and safety are better than 21st century looking
awk axel starliner cant even open parachutes propperly go and watch their videos
@@awkaxel7075 Dragon : reliability ✔️ Safety✔️ Comfort✔️
@@primeoption4824 The Dragon also has a trunk for vacuum cargo, as well as a toilet (which gives a major increase in comfort department).
The dragoooon
3 years later it’s dream come true
Why are there so many awkward shapes, sharp edges and corners everywhere? Crew Dragon is ON the cutting edge. Starliner HAS cutting edges.
This looks so ghetto, compared to SpaceX Crew Dragon.
Just because something looks better doesn't mean it is...
@@randygainer4186 One of them has already docked with the ISS and is scheduled for crewed flight in 2019 while the other one is just a huge money sink
@@randygainer4186 but it is, it didnt even make it pass its test
Randy Gainer welp you are stupid because it does they made the controls modern and look at a video of Boeing compared to dragon
Dragon looks futuristic and awesome. Boeing needs to think more forward. This is just constructive criticism. Both of them are cool spacecraft
SpaceX crew dragon has cutting edge technology compared to Boieng
The Technology is the exact same...
The final product is the same, the final price however is why crew dragon is docked at the ISS and starliner isnt
Norm T exactly, you have no idea what boeing has. For what we know it might be better than what spacex has
@@NarasimhaDiyasena that's not why
@@NarasimhaDiyasena boeing got more money than spx
It’s just so industrial and low budget compared to dragon
Yet it has cost like 2x lol
Well that's because NASA doesn't have a funding so everything's gonna be like Penny crunching if you absolutely don't need it it's not gonna be there but the fact they call it a liner makes me think well where is the bar
If my life was on the line, I would prefer the industrial standard before some fancy touch panels. That's based on my experience in how often overly complicated systems decide to do whatever they feel like instead of what they should do.
@@skunkjobbBut SpaceX has now sent more than 50 people into space.
All those friggin knobs and gauges vs. Crew Dragon's touch screens...
I am not a fan of touch screens in any way.
No complete interior view. A non-documentary.
Well... I am here after spacex crew-2 launch.
“If it’s Boeing… it ain’t going”
Every time an engine falls off one of their airliners {in the back of my head} I hear the old jingle...🎶Look for, The Union Label.🎶
@@schrodingersgat4344 --ha ha...I'm old enough to remember those ads in the 70s.
@@dcb1138 Ha! Resolving disputes with gas miners can't be simple.
Time to rename Starliner Max and ground it permanently LOL
The Starliner instrumental panel is classified so you cannot see it!
I totally agree with Jacob.
But can the queen alien fit inside the cargo pallet? 👽
Good luck! and in 2024 the moment has come a manned flight🚀
So basicly its a 1970s module with smaller computers and new seats...
Capable of landing on land, getting reused and increased passenger capabilitys, automated docking and with a different escape system
First thing I thought was Apollo capsule. You would think in 50 years something more.
@@Lucky_iustitia A capsule is simply a aerodynamical very stable construct. We tried a shuttle. And it failed with 2 complete failures (shuttle and spaceship2) and countles almost failures
The dragon looks more modern and more comfortable.
Compared to the SpaceX Crew Dragon, this looks ghetto.
sweet
Automation. I wonder what HAL is thinking about right now?
I am here from the future where there are two Crew Dragons docked to the ISS and 11 astronauts ( 9 Astronauts and 2 Cosmonauts) living on the Space Station. Starliner still has not achieved a successful Demo 1 mission. Can someone tell me if there is a toilet in Starliner or do the crew have to go outside if they need to relieve themselves
No toilet, diapers for the passengers instead.
@@caav56 Cheers mate. I have checked out the stats of both spaceships and I have not seen a loo in the Starliner. Boeing received much more money than Spacex but, in my opinion, Spacex have designed a much better ship. If they manage to launch Starliner on the 30th they'll make a big song and dance about it. However, it's a cramped ship and, I guess, smelly. Not with the dummy though. Thanks for the reply.
Boeing is goeing to send all of its whistle blowers up on the maiden voyage
are you allowed to check your text when you are in the look at us control room with many computers doing nothing? i think one of them just picked his nose...
LOL HI FIDELITY LOL PLYWOOD IS HIGH FIDELITY LOLOL GO BOOM!!
Crappy video format
lol its not a backup controll room its a room for everyone who wants to look cool but has nothing really to do with anything... i bet the janitor has a seat in the 3rd row.
I love the fact that it looks like the old Apollo missions back to basics very retro very cool and awesome that'll be cool to have some kind of caps like that so that in the future people with different degrees can just hop on in and just do more science and orbit that's pretty cool and I lovethis interesting interface on this video I don't know how it works but it's cool I'm sure Google has something to do with it which is cool great documentary and Godspeed
A flight to the ISS lasts 6-19 hours - no WC on board?
There always is but it's a bag and hose system, not pretty. They also take multiple enemas before flying so #2 doesn't need to happen. It's not something anyone wants to do in such a small area.
As bad of a space provider company that Blue Origin is... In the last 10 years, they have put more people into "Space" than Boeing has. :)
Es fea la cápsula, si o no?
Is he looking at Lady Doors?
Wow si supiera inglés Sabría lo q está diciendo 😬😔
Meanwhile...SpaceX launch astronauts to in theirs
Space-X went Ahead of Boeing.
Wtf is wrong with the camera
It’s an interactive camera. You use your finger to drag where you want the camera to show. If your device doesn’t support it, it will look horrible. Lol.
Instead of using rockets why not use rockcoons filled with hydrogen. Pull the hydrogen into spacecraft to use as fuel and to power the spacecraft. REPLY
Because no hydrogen in a vacuum?
@@briancelidonia8258 Look up what a rockoon is.
this is not a control room its a movie theatre... .none of them are doing anything... what are the computers for.. their not looking at them...
Where’s the bathroom?💩
Better than space x
Doubt that
SpaceX has sent 3 crews to the ISS, in total 2 demo flights and 2 operational flights. Boeing has failed to even reach the ISS once within roughly the same timeframe. Dream what you want but when you wake up the reality is spaceX did better
huh
This video is sooo cool
The fuzzy australia postnatally bat because enquiry philosophically juggle like a ossified basin. mellow, possible server
Where do you stow the sextant? Oh, that's right, you don't have a real pilot. You have Spam in a can. God help them if they loose power. SCE to what?
Hey lets dust off Apollo put a new name and logo on it and we can fleece the tax payers for billions before anybody wises up .I love the little hats they look like they work at Galactic Burger King .
Guess you don’t really have to be an experienced pilot anymore. Anyone can be an astronaut now. Of course we know how Tesla’s autonomous driver killed one person already by driving into side of a semi, and how Boeing’s 737 Max 8 flies itself into the ground, so not really sure I would be comfortable sitting back with no control and totally relying on software.
John Martin my exact thought !
I know dragon has the ability for its crew to take over manual control. Anyone know if starliner can too?
