  • Hey Oats! Just wanna say, if you’re e still interested in knots, you should try macrome! It basically tying notes and making stuff with the knots like the glasses. It kinda like knitting, but there’s no wool, and no needles and there’s paracord instead and instead of making repeated loops, you just make basically every knot you could think of…. Anyways, if you for some reason want to try macrome, I’d recommend weavers of eternity for any tutorials (mostly). He has TONS of tutorials on his channel. Anywho, have a nice day!

  • The actually coolest knot is the "hangman's knot" (which can be seen at 8:18 where it forms the loop opposite to the monkey fist knot). The reason it's so nice is that it technically creates a loop with variable size, but depending on how long you make the knot, you can do anything from changing size easily to needing a truck to change the size. Also, it's usually rather easy making the loop smaller by pulling on the string end, while the loop can only be expanded much harder. Also, it has inarguably the most badass name from any knot ever. Asides from that, the Fisherman's knot (10:03) is pretty damn versatile, both for having a variable length of a string/loop and tieing two strings together neatly. And when the two knots are pulled tight, it just looks incredibly satisfying.
