Speakers Tests were done with the Denon AVR - S960H Receiver with Polk Audio Speakers.
We tested also the Dolby Atmos Demo with Airpods Max - Airpods Pro Spatial Audio Headphones (enable spatial audio tracking in settings) iPhone 13, Apple TV and 16inch MacBook Pro M1 Pro. On Android we tested with Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Flip 3 and Fold 3. Also we tested with Planar headphones HiFi Man dedicated DAC and Tidal running of a PC.
Dolby Vision picture was tested with LG C1 and HDDR10 with Samsung 8K TV.

Just some context here, I got a new monitor last week that could do HDR, but today I got my Gaming Ear buds... this is probably the best visual and audible I've seen, well done, I am going to watch it again
So Good and beautiful demo, congrats!. I have tested it from a LG CX connected via eARC to a Denon X1600 5.1.2 system and the native KZhead app recognices the 5.1 track (there isn´t Atmos support as for now in KZhead). With the Dolby Surround Upmixer I get the height channels work where available, so the 5.1 mix have included the hidden "metadata" for the upmixer :-)

@@klenah9026 YT supports both AC3 and E-AC3, as well as it's own version of 5.1 based on opus codec. If you can't hear or see the options you don't have the right equipment

Unfortunately, KZhead only plays a maximum audio bit rate of 160 kbps in lossy Opus (251) on this video.
it doesnt work with my sonos arc + surround...

KZhead does not support Dolby Atmos, the maximum that it supports is Dolby Digital 5.1 for supporting TVs

For starters, a sound bar will not play surround! You need speakers behind above and on the sides for Atmos.
Buy a good atmos system..soundbars are NOT surround and especially NOT ATMOS.

How come I can hear all sounds in all speakers. Like when he says "Rear Left", I can hear it in Rear Right, Front Center, Front Right and Front Left as well as Rear Left.. Or when "Front Right" plays, I hear it in the "Rear Left" and "Front Left" as well.. It's very confusing. I'm using HDMI e-ARC, and I've tried setting it to 5.1 (7.1 is greyed out for some reason, eventhough I have 7.1), "Dolby Atmos for headphones" which all give sounds in all speakers, also It's not like I don't hear one sound in just one speaker either, so it's not mono. I have with "Dolby Atmos for home theaters" but it's something wrong with it as well, most of the time I don't get any sound, like here on youtube. But in Dolby Access, it sounds amazing. But here it doesn't work, in games it doesn't work.. So can't really test the left speaker, right speaker etc. And I know it has worked in the game I'm testing with. So why isn't it consistent?!

This actually is a true translation of Dolby Atmos which translates superbly into the older Dolby True HD 7.1. Your test left out the surround left rear & the surround right rear so it's actually 5.1.2. it also loped off the point one effect channel portion of the test. KZhead has upped its efforts in a major way audio-wise to even broadcast this. This is brand new for KZhead. Enjoy it while you can. Amos doesn't explain that one has to cut holes into your front system walls to properly install this feature. I'm wondering how does one explain the bare/empty gaps to your landlord when one moves out? Also, the majority of old films rarely get a translation which renders this feature useless for the majority of films. Dolby Atmos is ideal for stereo recordings like your music, a bizarre side effect of means! Just some details from a very 'Ole Audiophile that thought you could gain from this post. Thanx.
the video is only output in stereo using the Opus audio codec under the youtube format ID 251 for audio, which is a variable bitrate ~160Kbps stereo codec by Opus. Opus and youtube DO support higher channel codecs, but no higher than 5.1 surround or Quadraphonic. Interestingly, the only 5.1 codecs are in AAC format, not Opus, opus uses the quadraphonic format which is more typical for computer speaker surround systems of the 90s. The format IDs for those are 256, 258, 327 (all 5.1) and 338 (quadraphonic). It's possible that if you do have a DAC that supports Atmos, it may use a better codec such as the 5.1 AAC codec, and you can check this using the right-click, stats for nerds option. I have Atmos-capable headphones plugged in, and have the Atmos Surround enabled in the windows settings and it still uses the 251 codec. also, i wanted to mention that the missing channels they leave out are not the rear surrounds, they do include those. the ones they leave out are the right and left side speakers, and also 2 of the top speakers. so, indeed they are testing a 5.x.2 system, as they also don't test a subwoofer. also you don't need to do anything different to your front speakers for atmos, as atmos is basically a 7.1 system (front, side, rear) plus 4 top speakers plus subwoofer. so, you need to hang speakers from the ceiling for true Atmos. I would assume most people spending several thousand on a sound system would already own their property, but i am often wrong. Atmos is unique in that it is supposed to be able to accurately "upscale" any stereo format sound, as demonstrated in this video, and so that even a sound that is not specifically recorded for atmos or codec'd in atmos would still come across as surround sound, whereas the older dolby and dolby digital formats did not do this, sound would only come out of the front speakers or the same signal out of all speakers if not compatible. Atmos can turn anything into surround basically, supposedly. Obviously i don't believe this would work well on old movies either, but that's the idea.
@@tirkentube I've believe you are completely mistaken here. This video blown into actual 5.1 on this Yamaha HTR, switching into Sraight mode, turning from stereo into full blown 5.1 Dolby True Audio HD. Works for sure using my gear, shocked the dickens out of me.
@@davidlane1169 i mentioned that if you had a true 5.1 or even an atmos system that perhaps your youtube app or chrome browser-based youtube player would use the AAC 5.1 codec rather than the Opus Stereo codec like mine was doing. i literally said that in the comment above. But there is NO CODEC (on youtube) for Dolby Atmos. So this video claiming it is a 7.1.4 dolby atmos sound test is false. that's likely why the video doesn't even test all the atmos channels.

That's the beauty of Atmos. it can upscale Stereo codecs and especially 5.1 codecs into Atmos surround. So you don't specifically NEED atmos content to hear atmos sound... supposedly. i don't know how well the ceiling speakers would be used in that scenario, because my only experience with Atmos is with headphones, but i do have the "Dolby Atmos for Headphones" app on my PC, which cost money on top of the headphones.
@@tirkentube I supposed I should have known all along. I got so excited to see Dolby to actually work in 5.1, I over reacted. I've since heard from KZhead. They can't even properly translate True Dolby HD yet either. I'll take what I can get at this point. I"m confused as to why not a single movie yet?

Weird, I just get stereo out of all 5 speakers for this video. I only get true 5.1 when on streaming services like Disney, Apple, Netflix etc.
That's because KZhead videos are all 2.0 stereo, at least until recently. If you hear sound from other speakers, it's just upmixing from your device. The services you mentioned all have audio up to Atmos. The description mentions that you're supposed to download the track that's actually multichannel from the link. It's essentially false advertising. They may have added 5.1 recently, but that is pretty device dependent, and there's still no Atmos despite the title claims.

Doesnt work properly(for me), can only get 5.1 since thats the only options in (my) youtube settings. Using android tv with HDMI connection to onkyo 7.1 reciever. Will check back when i have tested with my computer.
I'm getting the heights as well with my Sony receiver. There are Atmos demos in the description as well on Patreon.
KZhead only support 5.1 so it's normal that you only get 5.1

Also is against KZhead's guidelines to put direct downloads links. They only accept links from reputable sides. Besides our demos are playing in theaters and as producers we need to make an income to continue producing content. Thx

Looks cool, but without a subscription to the highest tier of Tidal or an Apple TV4K AND subscription to Apple Music, I don't think it's possible to play it on an HT. Some Atmos creators have posted links to download .mp4 files, which you can playback on VLC (possibly others) on windows connected to HT. If you have the capability to do so, it would give more people a chance to experience your video.

Why is it? I hear this song on all my speakers even with it on Dolby Atmos mode I do not have all channel on. I have it on DoVi Atmos, and all the sounds are coming through all the speakers is it because KZhead doesn’t support Atmos.

Добрый вечер. Я не по теме, но может подскажите, у меня телевизор+ресивер с подключёнными к нему 9 колонок+сабвуфер, ресивер подключён к телевизору через ARC, к телевизору подключаю жесткий диск через USB 3.0, и проблема в том что не проигрывается дороги DTS:X и долби атмос хотя ресивеи, DTS:X еще как-то начинает играть секунд пять но потом звук пропадает, а долби атмос вообще не воспроизводится. И в чём причина я не знаю. Остальные форматы долби и простой dts проигрывает нормально. Ресивер onkyo rz730.
