Using HONEY or Polysorbate-80
In this video I'll show you how to mix oil and water using an Honey as an emulsifier and I'll show you how to use Polysorbate-80 as well.
Another emulsifier is MUSTARD.
When you make Mayonnaise you put a little bit of mustard into the mix. WHY? Because the mustard is an emulsifier and keeps the oil and eggs from separating.

  • is polysorbate 80 an APG, that is, a non-ionic surfactant...that can be used on soil? much cheaper than commercial products. if it is the new breed APG soil wetter, it would be very effective, unlike legacy soil wetters.

    • @@jenniferisaksson9250 Honey is a bit slower to mix in and you’ll need to do some trial and error to get it. PS80 is fast but personally, while the cosmetic industry uses it in a huge percent of cosmetics, we try to stay as pure as possible and honey is the big vote for facials. Let me know how it goes.

    • That inset in the video was the bees waiting for their feeder to be replenished. My bees are carniolans and they are very aggressive and will come and try to defend it as I'm pouring it in their feeders... I have to start by using smoke with sibosen smoke pellets which are a chinese herb that smells like Marijuana and it instantly calms the bees down and they don't care what you do at that point... It's really the only thing that keeps them from attacking... Italian honeybees are very docile and I seldom wear a veil with them but carniolans are a different story. I keep carniolans because we're so remote and they are massive honey producers and ferocious defenders of their colonies against other insects, mice and even bigger animals. My dogs wont come within 100 feet of the bee yard!! Thanks for watching and comments.

  • Polysorbate 80 is very good to prevent male pattern boldness in alcohol solution applyed to scalp emulsifies DHT & prevents hair follicles from getting killed by DHT. Some shampoos contain the Polysorbate 80, there was a brand of shampoo called Polysorbate 80 shampoo with main ingredient of P80 but it has disappeared from the market, too bad !

    • We have a soap and skin care business as well and I'm the chemist for it. I hate the way so many have you using massive quantities of Poly-80 to emulsify oils into other ingredients... Rule of thumb, prepare the oil before you add it to the batch of ingredients.. It takes a very small amount, even just a few drops of Poly-80 in the oil FIRST to cause it to emulsify into your main ingredients. I use the water drop method. Mix a few drops of Poly-80 into the oil a few drops at a time. Stir well then pour into a 2 cup container of cold water. If the oil mixes right in (give it a minute or two), you're set. If it doesn't and some floats, try the experiment again but add a few more drops of Poly-80... The old instructions for mixing with Poly-80 take into account the entire batch of all ingredients which requires massive amounts of Poly-80, vs just preparing the oils with it first... Good Luck

  • 👍👍👍👍👍All the best to you and yours this Holiday Season. I did some soap making a few years ago and learned about polysorbate-80 and all the places it is used, with FDA approval. I loved the part addressed to the "Negative Nellies" and the "guess what" the channel owners do with those comments. Maybe someday they will clue in that their rants do a magical trick and disappear at the channel owner's discretion. Hahahaha

    • Hey Sheila M, I'm a big proponent of "Free Speech" but when a person wants to push me off of MY soapbox to take it over as theirs,,, that's when free speech ends in my book. As I said, they can get their own soapbox and I'm good with that. Thanks for being a loyal subscriber, commenter and viewer... I really do try to produce stuff that most people don't know in hopes of helping even just ONE person and I've got a bunch more coming.
