@@ChrisBrown-ir6sf 2008-12 Barcelona was a better all around team, but on pure offense 1991-1994 Barcelona was even better, I never seen a team playing that way, before or after... of course, this almost suicidal offensive attitude caused big failures, but they won fair enough and above all, gave people the greater shows. That Cruyff years are the most underrated regarding any coach and team, because they put that show on an era of teams playing catenaccio, with 5 defenders many times, and still Cruyff tried to change it with a vision that exceded any particular triumph or personal achievement, the guy paved the way to what is football today, although in my mind Guardiola was guilty of changing that vision Cruyff had, turning it in a too controlled game, too calculated and boring

1994 was Romario and Stoichkov era. Romario had lifted the World Cup trophy and Stoichkov lead Bulgaria to WC semifinal and being the WC top scorers with Oleg Salenko.
1986, 1990 and 1994 received three and four bronze medals. In the World Cup tournaments that were before, one got gold, two got some kind of big silver, three little silver and the team in fourth place bronze. From 1998, only the first three teams receive medals

No final da carreira, treinando muito pouco esses fundamentos, Romário cruzava, lançava e batia falta. Como Pelé, "roubava tempo" dos zagueiros posionando melhor o corpo para as finalizações, perdendo menos tempo e fazendo mais gols. Por suas características de jogo, Ronaldo saía mais da área por mais tempo na sua carreira, driblava mais, finalizava melhor com a esquerda e batia melhor pênalti. Para suas equipes de alto nível e em termos profissionais, Ronaldo produziu mais. Honestly, Romario opened my eyes that day, made me realise that there are levels in this game, his goal and assist looked like sorcery to me, going past a defender as if he wasn't there and then shooting right down the middle, where the goal keeper doesn't expect it... for the assist, just nonchalantly laying it off, barely a touch... one of the greatest players of all time

That third goal was ridiculous! So much disguise and understanding between those two. As a United fan I could only applaud. I think this game did a lot to educate this United team on what can happen if you get it wrong against these big sides in Europe.
I remmeber this like yesterday. We got killed by Romario and Stoichkov. If the foreign number rule wasn't there, it would have been closer, but it took us 4 years to reach the top level in Europe. This was a Great barca team.
